The beds are very uncomfortable x food is amazing and place is lovely x

Staff seemed lovely, smiley and friendly but the room definitely wasn’t worth over £100. We chose the superior double room for valentines but there was nothing ‘superior’ about it unfortunately and should have saved money and gone for the standard room. Some of the room pictures have a filter effect on them because they look much prettier in the photos than they actually are. The outside looks beautiful but inside is very old and outdated.

This hotel is fine for a night, but sadly it bears no resemblance to a 4 star hotel – the décor and facilities are dated and need modernising. The location of the hotel isn’t too bad, it is on a busy main road but the car park is large and free and St. Albans is only a short drive away. The room we had was passable, it was clean although the furniture and carpet etc. were dated. The room was very warm and it soon became apparent that there wasn’t an option to control the temperature yourself; there was however the option of a pedestal fan and plug-in space heater - very old school! The pool shut early without prior warning and whilst we were using the sauna, the staff member turned it off. The pool temperature was chilly and the steam room smelt like drains. Gym was fabulous though, lots of equipment offered. I would also say that this hotel is more of a party venue, there was a party taking place when we stayed - we were woken up numerous times in the early hours by guests yelling down the corridors and slamming their room doors. This hotel isn’t very sound proof. Would be a perfect hotel after a few amendments.

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff. Decor a bit dated.

Great hotel. Fabulous facilities, especially the spa. Very friendly staff. Lovely food.

we spent our wedding night here 39 years ago so was nice to go back

Room was nice, clean and comfy. Hot food wasn’t great but good choice of continental fruit etc

Just a tad disappointed that the leisure facilities closed earlier than advertised, expect it was due to Christmas period but if it's open all facilities should be open as normal!
