Canal House

Convenient to the train station, only 2 mins walk. 5 mins to shops. Two good size bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a nice lounge overlooking canal. Great to have a washer as we were away from home a month

Needed to replace the toilet paper after a couple of days. Not a big deal, but I did expect supplies in the cupboard.also there was no frying pan in the kitchen, in fact very few kitchen items . However the oven and fridge and microwave were all very good. The flowerpots could have had new plants as everything was looking sad compared to the lovely show of flowers next door

It was an excellent location, very near good restaurants and only a short walk into the town centre. Also we had a pleasant view over the canal. It was very quiet, despite being by a main road. It was good value.

The ensuite shower could do with a refurbishment. Also we would have liked instructions for using the timer for the heating and hot water.

There were some cleanliness issues with the windowsills and blinds and the patio and external downstairs area. If I had found a broom I would have cleaned this . Unfortunately a pigeon had got caught in the netting and died . I was unable to dispose of the poor creature . I understand netting is used as a deterrent but it is awful when birds get caught .

Canal House is a comfortable property, conveniently placed for exploring Chester. Overlooking the canal, we were able to sit on the patio and watch the world go by. The dedicated off road parking space was a bonus.

Very warm, comfortable, cosy house with convenient parking place. Second bedroom was good size and the property location is great for the station

Was a bit confused that the entrance to the property was on city rd but the address is leadmill lane.

Situated right by the side of the canal, plenty of restaurants in the vicinity If you didn’t want to walk into the centre of chester . The house was well equipped with very comfortable beds.

We are familiar with the area but for those who do not know where the centre is a welcome booklet might be useful giving directions and a guide to local attractions and restaurants etc

Superb hosts who went above and beyond, including checking in with us after the first 24 hours to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay the best it could be! Exceptional location with free secure parking, comfy huge beds, 2 bathrooms, and comfy brand new sofa bed which a strapping 22 year old had no problems sleeping on. The age range of our group spanned 22 - 83 and the accommodation was perfect and enjoyed by all. Despite being incredibly central to Chester it was so quiet day and night with a lovely view of the canal. On a next trip to Chester we would definitely look at Hygge Homes properties.

Nothing it was perfect. Only suggestion would be a little light outside the front door would be perfect when coming back at night to help find keys and highlight the little step downs.

Fantastic location, close to everything but amazingly quiet. Lovely and warm with everything you could possibly need. Very responsive to any questions. Car park space was a bonus.
