Copamarina Beach Resort & Spa

Location is just perfect ! If you are looking for a relaxing stay , away from the city - go there . Generally good fresh food , breakfast from the menu was excellent.

Beds were not super comfy, and really narrow as for queen. Also, air conditioners are pretty noisy over the night, as they are placed just near the bed, but without them is hard to sleep due to the temperature. And pizza, don’t order it there. I got two for dinner and we have to throw them out.

Situated on a shallow water beach, with gardens and pool and bar area both wet and dry. Two dining options, casual and more formal. A well appointed first floor ocean view room, whilst near the pool was not very noisy.

This is somewhat of a hard question, as unfortunately for the majority of our stay there was an internet blackout that affected the entire hotel and all of its computer systems, which left the staff in a very difficult position as it was impossible for them to do lots of things, i.e programme room keys; update reservation details etc. They responded as well as they could in the very difficult circumstances that they were encountering.

The resort was really nice. It was not too crowded, which also suited us just fine. You could go to beach or pool and there were room in the pool and free sunbeds. The rooms were nice.

There are two restaurants in the area and the next ones are in the nearest village. So maybe during longer stay, some might need a bit more options and larger price scale as they both were a bit expensive. Also it would have been nice get some information about the breakfast, as we experienced both buffeebreakfast and the one that was served in a table and were a bit lost when coming to the breakfast table and did not know how it worked. That is, when the breakfast was being served, customers were offered a voucher for the breakfast (if you had breakfast included), but no one told beforehand how it works.

This is a smallish independent resort far off the beaten tourist track. It has an oceanside location with beautifully landscaped grounds, lovely pools and a good restaurant. The resort may be more jumping during the weekends but during several of my mid week visits the resort has always been tranquil and very low key. This is not a place to see or be seen. There is no shopping, or nightlife. There are some nice nature walks in the Dry Forest. Copamarina is a great place to simply relax and do nothing more than sit by the beach or the pool and enjoy a decent meal. (There are some water activities if that is your thing and sports games for teens and children.)

No complaints except for the wastewater system. As other reviewers have mentioned, at times the bathroom can have an unwelcome smell. It is more a lagoonish/methane smell rather than a raw sewage smell but regardless it is not pleasant. The hotel has to improve it's wastewater treatment system or at the very least better ventilate the bathrooms. This is not a dealbreaker for me but this problem surely takes away from the overall quality of the resort. Also, although the hotel has a sandy beach, the ocean water tends to be murky with some bottom weeds and floating seaweed. This is not uncommon on PR's south coast beaches.

Beautiful resort. Loved the remote location. The staff was welcoming and friendly.

One night only the bar area was open for dinner and the area was packed with guests. We waited over 15 minutes for a waiter/waitress and decided to go in town to eat. I'm assuming they didn't have enough staff that evening. Also, most of the beach area had seaweed in the water.
