Yotau All Suites Hotel

This is my 3rd time staying at this hotel during a business trip to Santa Cruz. The arrival at the hotel was marred by the fact that the elevators don't go directly to all the floors, about ½ the rooms require walking up ½ a flight of stairs. This is not horrible, but no fun when you are carrying bags. The elevator closest to my room did not go to the 4th floor (requiring a walk up a ½ flight of stairs) because the 4th floor button was broken, so we went to the 5th floor and walked down a ½ flight of stairs. My impression is that this hotel is in need of upgrading because in general the facility is showing signs of age, worn carpets, banged up walls, etc. The room was comfortable and having a suite was nice because you had a nice kitchenette with a large table for eating and working. One of the A/C units had to be repaired because the fan made a loud clattering noise, but the facilities people repaired in about 30 minutes. Although I declined the offer to move to a new room, proper housekeeping procedures might have avoided this inconvenience. The lighting was OK, the bathroom was clean and there was a good selection of toiletries. One problem with the bathroom was that the shower controls were difficult to adjust and the hot water was extremely hot which is a potential scalding danger. I didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, so I can't offer any info there.

The hotel lacks in cleaning. The hotel business center dosn't work at all. No computer, no printer. I won't recommend for business travellers

just finished a stay at this hotel. This is very disappointing. It seems that in Bolivia anyone can claim to be a "5 star" hotel as if it is actually a Luxury hotel in the likes of Shangri-La and this is clearly not the case. This hotel looks very pretty on the outside, but go on the inside and you will find an old neglected hotel. The furnishings are old, the electric outlets are "scary". Plugging something in or turning on a light scared me thinking that an electrical fire would occur at any time! Also I initially was placed in a room on the third floor and we almost got stuck in the elevator to the point that we had to use the telephone in the elevator and ask for help! Aside from the "dated" look, the wi fi internet service is hopeless. I found myself arriving late at night hoping to access the wi-fi to be able to answer some important emails. I was surprised to find out that it did not work at all! So someone from the reception came to help me and the only solution was to re-locate me to another room. There the wi-fi worked for about an hour and then it did not. By this time it was almost 2:00 am so I gave up. The next day the technician came and had to place the internet modem on top of the refrigerator in the kitchenette for it to work :( Now let me tell you about the bathroom. I don't know where they found that toilet but it was let's say different - see attached picture. The shower/bath was very nasty.. it needs to be repaired. - see picture. Then let's talk about the restaurant. Breakfast was ok, but don't attempt dinner. The waiter in charge - or so he thinks he is.. is arrogant and very rude to the rest of the staff. The only thing that made up for a bad stay was that the rooms were clean even though they are old and neglected were the staff at the reception are. All of them are very polite and very accommodating. Will I stay at this hotel again. No, I don't think so.

El hotel está viejo y descuidado, la cadena del baño no servía, el microondas tampoco y no se podían cerrar las cortinas. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, amplias y limpias. El desayuno es muy bueno.

When I first arrived, the hotel did not have my reservation. The receptionist suggested that I had the wrong hotel. They proceeded to create a voucher of my credit card in case that they didn't find my reservation in their system. The staff was not too friendly. On the way to the room, the elevator was small, when I reached my floor, the light of the hallway was burned. This made it very difficult to find my room. The room was steamy, I turned on the AC. It took a long while to cool down the room. I ordered room service. First they brought my glass of wine, then 20 minutes later they brought my burger and 20 minutes later brought the bill. A little stranger, seemed that they were not very organized. All in all, for the price I paid, I would just prefer staying at Los Tajibos.

Me parece que un Hotel de esa característica podría invertir en renovar las maquinas de su gimnasio para dar un servicio de mayor calidad a sus huéspedes. slds!

The service was great, however they need to update the furniture and mattress.

An outdated hotel, poorly maintained, expensive for its benefits. Good service, people is friendly and always want to help. Elevator doesn't work with stress. It is funny to see how the hotel was divided and the swimming pool reduced to half.

This is supposedly 5 Star. Nice big room but the hotel is a tad shoddy and old fashioned. More 4 star than 5. The food in the restaurant was absolutely horrific. It was a disgrace to serve up such muck. Very disappointing. The staff in general were quite helpful but again the gentleman who served me in the restaurant was obnoxious and ignorant. Dave your money and go to hostel! Wake up Yotau! Very poor overall.
