Amari Koh Samui

This hotel is definitely more of a 4 star than a 5 star hotel. We stayed in an ocean view room which was very dated with extremely loud air conditioning, dirt all around the not very powerful shower and you could hear the guests in the next room very loudly as the connecting door had a gap under it. Pools were nice and never too busy. I would recommend staying in the Thai village which is cheaper and more peaceful with modern rooms. The breakfast was chaotic with long queues at the egg stations and alot of the food was cold. The lunchtime menu was very expensive. There is a Prego restaurant opposite which is very nice but there are not really any other nice restaurants in the area. Chaweng is a few minutes walk away which can only be described as Benidorm on steroids.

Perfect stay and unforgettable wedding We stayed at Amari Koh Samui and also celebrated our wedding here – and we honestly couldn’t have chosen a better place. The resort is beautiful, very well maintained, and offers a calm, relaxing atmosphere. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and stylish. The staff were incredibly kind, professional, and always willing to help. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. The organization, decoration, food, and overall coordination were flawless. A very special thank you to Christopher Adams (Resort Manager), Nanthawan Ponk & Champagne and the Wedding Planning Team, and K. Pui and the Food & Beverage Service Team for their outstanding care and attention to detail. It was an unforgettable experience for us and our guests. We can highly recommend Amari Koh Samui for both a relaxing holiday and special events such as weddings. We would love to return again.

I have only positive things to say about my one-week stay at this hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, the pools are sparkling clean, the food is perfect, and the staff is simply FANTASTIC!!! A special thanks to Penn, who helped us with everything and was always so kind and welcoming. I have traveled to many places, but I have never felt as good as I did here.

Amari Koh Samui is in a great location, close to the action at Chewang Beach but far enough to be able to relax. Good beach frontage. Rooms are nice, room service every day, provides 6 bottles of water in reusable glass bottles (we were in an unconnected room with 5 people). Staff were friendly and accommodating. 3 good pools, all with kids play areas. Good buffet breakfast.

Received 5 star service at The Amari Koh Samui. Great Location, lovely beach, excellent facilities and staff. We will be back!

First visit to Amari and will defiantly be returning! Loved the lay out (be aware that the hotel is split, main pool, Resturant beach ) is on one side, most of the accommodation, 2 pools and bars are on the other. Not a problem, lovely man always stopping traffic so it was always safe to cross. Beach is absolutely beautiful, you can walk the whole way into the really lovely part of Chewang beach so lots of freedom and bars all my the way. 3 pools were so clean, staff were lovely, happy and so helpful including Penn who has been there for 14 years which is always a good testament for happy staff. We didn’t eat at the hotel much other than breakfast, which offered everything you need. Rooms were clean, always cleaned early and everywhere is immaculate. There’s a really lovely relaxed vibe here.. it never felt overwhelming busy (even over NY) Clever to create a place that is in the hub of things but still calm and no one fighting for sunbeds! It’s a happy, easy going, really pretty hotel. I would defiantly recommend!

The location, atmosphere, rooms, services and people were super great! Also the food fantastic!! Also very close to the city and central Samui!

We stayed at Amari together with our 2 kids over Christmas and loved it. There are 3 different pools and even though there seem to be a lot of guests, we always had a sunbed available. Breakfast was great and we also joined the Christmas Dinner. Our kids loved the Santa visit and band!

We arrived at the hotel and paid directly at the reception. We were given two rooms located in a remote area of the hotel. The rooms were old, full of insects, and not clean at all. There was visible dirt in the bathroom, a constant noise from the bathroom exhaust fan that kept turning on and off all night, and a strong damp/moldy smell. I sent a WhatsApp message to the reception including a recording of the noise, and they didn’t even bother to reply. I honestly don’t understand how this hotel has good reviews. Our experience was very bad and extremely disappointing.
