Amari Koh Samui

We truly enjoyed our time at this hotel. Everything was well taken care of: the rooms were tidy, clean, and comfortable, and the whole hotel looked beautiful and well-maintained. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we felt welcome from the moment we arrived. What really made our experience special was the kindness and service of the staff. Rut at the reception was absolutely amazing! Nothing was ever too much to ask. Whether we had questions, needed help getting somewhere, or arranging transport. Rut and also his colleagues were always ready with a smile and took care of everything for us. All in all, a wonderful experience at the Amari Hotel!

Family of 2 adults & 2 kids (age 19 & 16) loving every minute at the Amari!! Perfect location in quiet end of Chaweng beach (North) and although walkable into central, the songthaews are a bargain (50 THB per person). The facilities are pristine including the pools and gardens which are beautifully maintained. We have never had a problem getting sunbeds. The food is really good and competitively priced with other beach restaurants. Breakfast is a feast of all cuisines and worth the extra. Above all, the staff couldn’t have been more attentive and friendly. We would like to give a special mention to Penn who has served us with warmth and humour! I’m so glad I did my research and persevered with this reservation!

Great location. Friendly staff. We have 3 rooms. I wouldn't rate this establishment as a 5 star hotel. Possibly 3.5. Firstly, rooms are dated. The AC struggles to cool the room. The food is mediocre at best. I would say the location is the only redeeming feature. Other than that quote a disappointment.

We stayed with our teenager as part of a large group including children, and everyone loved this resort. The rooms were modern and comfortable, the staff were friendly and attentive, and three pools meant nowhere felt crowded. The food available was delicious and reasonably priced, and if it's your thing then there are great happy hours also! The Amari is in an excellent location - walking distance to lots of shops/markets/restaurants/bars/massages/laundry and Capybara World!

The hotel itself was great, the amenities and common areas including the pool, the lawn, the beach area, lobby, everything is wonderful. But the room (despite the great balcony overlooking the pool) leaves a bit to boot to be desired. The layout was a little bit strange but the main concern was that there’s mold on the AC vent and also on the curtains that lead to the balcony. It’s understandably very humid and hot inside and inside the room is very cold and this leads to mold but I think the hotel should be taking better steps to account for this or change the curtains more frequently and more frequently device the AC vents. It’s a short stay whether you’re there for a couple days or a week so it’s not a HUGE deal but no one likes mold and it makes the room feel dirty.

We had a beautiful stay! The staff and facilities were fantastic and the location is great, a quieter, lovely part of the beach but only a short walk to all the action in Chaweng. We also went on a snorkeling tour organised through the hotel which was brilliant.

Amari Koh Samui Hotel, we love being back here after more than 10 years since last time. It is such a nice hotel and fantastic to see so many of the same staff are still working here, among others mrs. Pen in the restaurant who still remember us and still give same excellent service.

This was our second stay at the Amari Resort in 2 consecutive years. We were not disappointed. It is such a comfortable stay with great, welcoming staff who all go out of their way to make guests feel special. To be welcomed by Penn and Jimmy each morning was a joy. The breakfast selection is so varied, very spoilt for choice. I enjoyed my regular ham and cheese omelette made fresh at the Egg Bar. Can recommend any of the food there, my husband loved the chicken hamburgers so much he had several over our 12 day stay. Pick up at the airport was a breeze, as was the return trip. The reception staff are so helpful too. Happy hour with buy-one-get-one was a treat. The gardens and pool are well maintained. Some of the lounges could do with a spruce up however I believe that is happening soon. Some of the streetscape in the surrounding area is a bit more run down compared to last year, perhaps a legacy of covid? We ate a lot at Amaya restaurant at the Amari Resort. Other fabulous meals were at The Tent (next door), Prego when we felt like a break from Thai, we had a superb meal at Chez François (the owner/chef is an older man with a passion for gourmet excellence and may be close to retiring), superb Italian meal at Duomo and of course our 2 favourite pubs to watch the AFL, The Islander and Delaney’s. Can highly recommend.

We just spent a week at the Amari Koh Samui and honestly thought it was superb. We were a group of 12 people (adults and kids) and had the best time. Couldn’t fault it - three beautiful pools, luscious landscaping, beachfront, friendly and helpful staff, clean and well kept rooms and grounds, and the most delicious and varied breakfast buffet. Highly recommend.

Fantastic resort & hotel, great food, great location (away from the noise and bustle, but still close enough to walk). The staff were VERY hospitable and did everything they could to make our stay good. We would like to single out Pen and Jame who were standout for us and made our stay feel even better.
