Hyatt Regency Metropolitan Chongqing

This hotel is absolute perfection and possibly my #1 stay in all of my China solo tour. First, I needed to check in early (12 noon) and the front desk was able to accommodate me (I called in beforehand to check). They were also able to offer late checkout (2pm) so I could get some extra rest before my train. Maybe my Discoverist status helped, or maybe the hotel extended the courtesies. Second, this location is precisely where you want to be in Chongqing. It’s within walking distance to Hongyadong, the wildest tourist spot in the city — although you’ll probably want to cross the north bridge to get a good photo of the building. It’s also right next to 人民解放纪念碑, where all the tourists flock to for shopping and food. If you’re going out somewhere further, the hotel’s also a great launchpad to reach multiple subway stations. Third, I used a Lounge Access Award for my booking which gave me access to their executive lounge on the 37th floor, and since they don’t offer breakfast in the lounge, I was given a free breakfast pass for my entire stay. They have an extensive breakfast spread with multiple sections: warm foods, salad, fruits, cereals, porridge, a made-to-order noodle bar, coffees, and pastries. But this hotel offered a breakfast item they really deserve a huge shoutout for: freshly made fruit juices. They had orange, watermelon, honeydew melon, and grapefruit. Also, the dining room is massive and very spaced out so you don’t feel too close to the other tables around you. This hotel really deserves every accolade on TA. Best hotel decision I ever made.

At the centre of everything in Chongqing, including what seems to be the world's largest collection of 'eat streets'. The rooms are large and airy with bathrooms that appear to receive regular maintenance. Little English is spoken but communication is still managed. The breakfast selection was good but be aware that active wear and slippers are not permitted in the restaurant. This rule is randomly applied with only some rule breakers being banished while others are left in peace.

Poor communication skill with in English. The Front lady who looks like a intern, needs to upgrade overall level to talk to their customers. To print out invoice and pay separate per each members, took very Looooooooooong time.

It's in a great location, and we enjoyed our stay with our two children. The hotel also provided toothbrushes for the children. Many eateries (including Mac Donald and KFC) are located around the hotel.

Chef Patrick Pan and the Culinary team made the stay most enjoyable! The service from the culinary staff, dining room staff, housekeepers and regency club were all excellent. The food and beverage quality was exceptional. I’d highly recommend this hotel over any other in Ching Qing. The quality is superior.

酒店整体感觉很好。但就是卫生间的洗手盘如果大一点，使用起来会更方便更人性化，其次是淋浴间的空间能扩大也更好，花洒的水压稍稍有点低。以上几点如果能改善，就是优加体验了😊

前台服务非常友善，酒店房间舒适，酒店地理位置特别好，去哪里都很方便~

Location right in the very centre of city. Deco with good taste. Bright room lights. Decent breakfast. Omelette is one big plus.
