Bougainvillea Barbados

Lovely rooms with kitchenettes and large balconies. Fab showers with White Company toiletries. Gorgeous outside areas with flowers everywhere; children's pool and adults pool with swim up bar. Beach very private with sunbeds and shades. Restaurant next to the beach. All staff friendly, helpful and professional. Would highly recommend for families and couples / friends.

The staff in this hotel deserve so much credit for these fantastic reviews, from Roslyn on reception to Gale & Co in the Calabash restaurant, always smiling, nothing is too much trouble, they are a credit to the Bouganvillea hotel. The hotel is clean, and conveniently located, with a beautiful white sandy beach, with two pools to cool off. Barbados is an expensive place, but this hotel manages to remain competitive, whilst maintaining excellent standards. The people of Barbados are a credit to their nation, I’m well travelled, but have never met friendlier people.

Family friendly, excellent service, not overly busy and the beach is private

This was our first time at Bougainvilla. Earlier in the year we spent the afternoon next door at Deia Beach while waiting for our flight connection. Currently Deia is under renovation. Check in was a little slow, we had to wait for our room. I had requested a high floor -56 steps in the heat was certainly a workout! The room had a perfect sea and pool view, spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a kitchen area should you wish to self cater. The staff in the restaurant went above and beyond despite the challenges of a few showers. I can recommend the Captains catch of the day. Best barracuda and Mahi Mahi we have ever tasted. Being a vegetarian my choices were somewhat limited but as they said ‘we’ve got you covered’. Beach is perfect white sand. The nearest shop is walking distance on the beach past Sandals until you come to some steps up to another hotel. Cut through the alleyway, a further 3 minute walk to Dover supermarket who sell pretty much everything. The garden and pool areas are lovely with the bar in the centre. Thank you to the bartenders for looking after us. Nice to see a friendly face from Crystal Cove (currently under renovation). We took the shuttle to Savvy’s a few times -great day out and much calmer sea. The only criticism would be that we had no hotel information. We didn’t know what time meals were served, there was a daily Happy Hour at the bar, entertainment some evenings or Saturday was Thai night until day 4 of our stay. Perhaps a laminated A4 guest information sheet in the rooms would be a good idea. Despite this we have booked to go again next year (twice). The staff are truly wonderful, so welcoming and warm hearted. It was a pleasure to stay there.

This was just a completely wonderful experience from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. Though it was our first time here it will not be our last. Everyone greeted us like family with the most infectious smiles everywhere. Special shout out to Natasha, Winston, Nakita, Jose, Vivian, & Joshua to name a few. You guys

Location, beach, staff and view were exceptional.

The only criticism would be the comfort of the bed as it was a little too soft for me, my wife found it very comfortable though.
