Price of the car park is ridiculous

We have come to stay at the Hampton Hilton every time we come to Leeds now, which is often at least a few times a year. The hotel is in an excellent location and is good value for money, especially when booking with complimentary breakfast (which provides a good selection of food and drink). The rooms are of decent size (though not overly spacious), they are always clean, beds are fairly comfortable, and facilities like kettle, hair dryer, TV and decent showering and washing facilities. On this occasion the climate control in the room was a godsend, 30c+ outside but a comfortable 20c in our room.

As we stayed two nights we declined maid service on the first morning and was (unexpectedly) given a free drinks voucher as a thank you, which was a really nice touch. However when I went down to use it the next morning just to get a bottle of drink to help with the day's heat I was told "this was for yesterday so you can't use it now", which just seemed like officious nonsense from the lady on reception... Yes, it was a freebie so it's not the end of the world, but to give someone something then take it away just seemed mean spirited and soured the experience slightly.
