Hotel Villa Diodoro

A very well-located hotel with amazing views. It is next a lovely public landscaped garden with view of the coast and the city. Directly above the hotel is the ancient Greek theatre and the main shopping and dining streets of Taormina are just a few minutes' walk away. The car park is small but very welcomed as parking is impossible in this area. There are a few public parking areas 5 minutes away but they are expensive @20 Euro per day. Once parked, you really don't want to drive again, best to walk around town - it has a one-way system throughout and the roads are very narrow. The town centre itself is pedestrianised. It is quite an amazing place with a very long stretch of interesting shops including some high-end stuff. Lots of restaurants to choose from. The hotel itself is fine, the rooms and beds are comfortable and clean, although not huge. We had two rooms with balconies and sea view. Mount Etna was also visible so having a drink in the evening on the balcony or at the terrace bar is a must. The hotel is built into a cliffside so there are many levels, with the swimming pool on the lowest level - again with spectacular views. If you don't like stairs/steps ( there are lifts to most areas) this might not be for you. The breakfast is ok - croissants and pastries were good, but not much choice on the savoury side. Served between 7:30 - 10:00, but very little left by 9:20am and they don't seem to restock things like fruits. The staff were helpful with parking.

Hotel was located in an excellent location to walk to the Center. A little dated, poor water pressure in shower, knob of bathroom door fell off, small room, no toilet paper in room when arrived. Staff were nice and helpful. Free parking but difficult to navigate.

Fantastic hotel with amazing facilities and the view is to die for.

Hotel Villa Diodoro was excellent for our short stay in Taormina. The location,views, service, breakfast and rooms where just Perfect. We will be back.

Property was clean and in a perfect location to walk into the main street of town. It was hot during our visit and no air conditioning was available.

Great location snd amazing views. However for the past years hotel has sustained wear and tear to the point that it would be just appropriate to refresh the decor. Overall all is great.

Beautiful hotel! We had trouble finding the hotel on the GPS and parked on the street quite far away. The staff found our car and drove it to the location for us. They were so accommodating and kind! The hotel is beautiful and had incredible views! It was November and a slower time of year so they upgraded our room to a balcony!

Beautiful old style hotel. Breathtaking views from room balconies, terraces on Etna volcano and the bay. Extra large pool. Excellent breakfast. Located on the heights of Taormina. Internet wifi could be faster. Caution: Google maps does not give the right directions. Put via Roma in google maps and follow all the way! Eco friendliness: towels changed everyday, smalll plastic bottles of shampoo replaced when empty. We prefer more sustainable options!

Great location and pool view is amazing!! Picked it for view and parking and wasn’t disappointed for either. BUT- this hotel needs an overhaul- it’s sooo old fashioned- no regular bar tender- bar was never open at pool for sunset, breakfast sooo not worth it. Not very Wnglish speaking friendly. And wifi terrible In room.

They upgraded us to a great room with a view. Great location.
