Dunraven Arms Hotel

Having been very disappointed by the dated bedroom and lack of luxury (a word their blurb uses fraudulently), I spoke to the owner Mr Louis Murphy, who defended every fault I outlined. From the lack of tea-making facilities in the room (a first for me in Ireland), the dated furniture which makes the room look like a 2nd hand emporium, the double bed with 2 single duvets on it (baffling!), the antiquated velux which lets a lot of traffic noise in, the badly fitted tv, ad infinitum. All these things he chose to defend! He is the reason the hotel is disappointing. He clearly doesn't care about his guest's experience, or the hotel's reputation. It could be great if only it were more 'Irish'.

The staff went above and beyond in berthing they did. So friendly and inviting, they even set me up with a Jr suite at the last minute for one extra day! Top notch service. You do not get this kind of service in the states

U recently attended a formal dinner at The Dunraven arms and I have to say it was fabulous. Atmosphere, food and service were all second to none. A truly fantastic evening. The staff were all friendly and extremely helpful.Thank you to all involved. Highly recommend

Historical location in quaint village of Adare. If you don’t stay at Adare Manor, then the Dunraven Arms Hotel is an excellent choice. The staff couldn’t be nicer and the food was good. The location is good to walk the length of the downtown village and walk into a pub. The punctuate music each evening.

Planned a lunch stop at the Dunraven on the 22nd March while travelling to Kerry. Refused service as we were not residents. This was very bad form, particularly in a tourist town. I certainly hope the overseas visitors wouldn't receive similar service. No tables available but there was ample seating at the bar.

Beautiful historic hotel with nice and helpful staff. Only complaint is that we were not told that an in-house breakfast buffet was included in our rather pricey room rates. We avoided the breakfast because we thought it was too expensive at well over $20 and found out only at checkout that we had paid for but didn’t know that breakfast was included.

Upon arrival to our room we noticed a very large stain on the duvet I went to reception to speak to a manager and show the image I had taken on my phone , however there wasn't one present in the hotel we were to receive a call at 7pm this never happened, upon check out we spoke to the owner inregards to the issue basically he checked what we paid and told us what do we expect for we paid we paid €185 I would expect clean bed linen he basically opened the door and told us he owned the hotel an laughed at us . So I'd stay away from this establishment, shame on the OWNER to treat a customer like he did.

Had a lovely 5 night stay and must say that we found it very relaxing. Staff very polite and helpful.

Just called in for a snack with four family members, as we all fancied a toasted sandwich, however was told by a very nice girl, that they do not do toasted sandwiches as they didn't have ROOM in the kitchen for a toaster !!!!! She said she is often asked for toasted sandwiches, but can't do them, due to lack of space!! A 4 STAR hotel ??? However got lovely sandwiches in Pat Collins pub, top of the street, would highly recommend !
