Kunming Jin Jiang Hotel

Kept turing off air conditioning. Claimed to not allow it if outside temp was below 26° C. Room was a sweat box. Every thing else fine, but it was over shadowed by the stiffling room.

good and convenient location, lots of street food and eateries nearby. Staff were very friendly and helpful, helped us to call for taxis etc. What i didn't like was the centralized air con, i couldn't adjust the temperature at all and it happened to be very hot when i went! The rooms in Blk A were quite old and a little small but overall, everything is fine except for the air con

This is an older hotel. Bed was comfortable and clean but bathroom is a little run down. We could not get the heating to work - and we spent a couple of quite cold nights.

Nice location close to the railway station

Clean, reasonably priced, good service, great location near train station. Not very buzzy but perfectly acceptable.

Great hotel for the price

Stayed in April in 2 separate rooms on level 11 and 12 in Tower A. Hotel was ok. The bathroom was quite old with shower over bathtub and a shower curtain. The carpets were a little old and marked. Pillows were not the most comfortable. We were told the rooms we booked (executive rooms) were already all taken so we were upgraded to these rooms. Not sure what the condition of the other rooms were then?! We paid for the hotel buffet breakfast for one of the mornings. It was ok and view was nice from the 23rd floor but as some people mentioned, it was not revolving. Price of hotel room was quite good compared to other hotels. It is about 30 min drive to the airport. There is a night time hawker food lane to the left of the hotel and some small restaurants. We booked a private driver to take us to Shilin Stone Forest and Jiuxiang Caves which is about 2 hours drive away. The young man at the hotel entrance was very helpful. He advised us to take the taxi instead of the bus to Dayuan Park (after checking on his phone) and even went out to the street to help us hail 2 taxis. Best customer service from this man out of all the dealings with the staff. Not sure if would recommend this hotel other than the price. Maybe have a look around at other hotels.

No welcome at the hotel minus a grunt or two. We were treated in silence until they mentioned that we had to pay a deposit. No reason for why we needed to pay a deposit. Then after asking several times they kind of grunted it was for the room key. The room had trouble with getting the lights on, the housekeeping came after we were in our room to drop off supplies, and the restaurants had food that was a little dry. Noisy.

Nice hotel，very close to Kunming Railway Station，close to a lot of eateries，convienient as there is an airport express just downstairs of the hotel。

Kunming is off the travelers path of choice places to go. Being inland. It is one of the cleanest cities for air quality and the climate is okay, I was told that it has never snowed here. Hotel staff are accommodating and if you only ask for them to help you they will write a translation note for you to get to your destination and back to the hotel. It is a safe hotel too, which I like, you can not worry about your belongings when you are out and about.
