Kunming Jin Jiang Hotel

Good location. Easy airport access. Good food, as always in China the food is well respected. First time in China so it is a learning experience.

Stay was good. Could not control room temperature. Could not sleep well due to high temperature.

Very helpful staff. Told us which busses to take to various attractions and wrote out in Chinese so we could ask directions we got lost.

Although being 4 stars hotel, staff does not understand a single English and were not helpful.

Although it is 4 stars hotel, communication with staff was terrible for a four star hotel and no one speaks English. The front desk staff was impatient even I tried to communicate in Chinese.

The suite is big and comfortable. But there was no proper gym. There was a dark room with a treadmill machine without a TV to watch. Not conducive to do exercise.

good value . i like d that the hotel is centrally located and provides free shuttle bus to ferry terminal. the breakfast was very reasonably priced and a very good value.

Stayed in Tower B which is being refurbished and my room was slightly worn in places but very clean, bathroom facilities clean and no problems with shower. Staff helpful. Hotel is the last stop on the No. 2 bus from the airport and picks up outside as well. Close to train station where there are lots of bus stops for all parts of Kunming.

There was confusion about check in time (front desk) probably due to language barrier. Got clarified only after they studied itinerary carefully I was told that shuttle service to airport was free - but was charged 25 RNB (front desk) Otherwise good.

The Lobby had been redone but the rooms were old, with a bad smell. The a/c was very week and the beds were hard as a rock! Also not any outlets in the room to charge electronics. We chose this place because it was close to the train station and that was the only thing that was ok about it. So for one night of conveniance it was ok.
