Kunming Jin Jiang Hotel

It near Shopping mall and Rail station.

I stayed at the Kunming Jin Jiang Hotel for two nights, one at each end of a trip that left me with layovers in Kunming. The hotel is very convenient—airport bus #2 goes directly there—and the nearby subway makes it easy to get into the center of the city. Jin Jiang is a Chinese hotel chain that I've stayed in before, and the quality of their accommodations can vary by quite a lot. The Kunming location is by far the best I've stayed at: the hotel was clean and the room comfortable. The bathrooms could stand to be refurbished, but that's primarily a cosmetic issue. The one thing I would have liked was either more power outlets in the room, or a power strip with multiple outlets to charge my various devices (laptop, camera, phone, iPad). Front desk staff were completely helpful and got me in and out quickly on both occasions. I'd certainly stay there again.

Airport bus stops at front door. Close to local eateries. Quick checkin and checkout.

We arrived at hotel at midnight, half day ahead of checking time, we had to pay for the only suite available for the night, 1,100 yuan for a few hours. Staff and the hotel were overall friendly. There are very few seating in the lobby for waiting. Most of our time waiting in the lobby was on the stepps, while there is a large, huge area reserved for tea, coffee serving, but few would spend money for tea.. Please let guests sit.... in the lobby while waiting...

As mentioned, this hotel was a stopover to dali. The decor is slightly dated, but still pretty good. Reasonable hotel, slanted towards business clients rather than tourism.

The hotel was ok, if only customer there obey rules of no smoking. The hallway smells like smoke. People smoke in the lobby.

Generally ok and recommended for stay. Very close to train station and other facilities. Staff are polite and willing to attend to request and services. However , the toilet need better management or refurbishment and the mattress could be improved

There are two wings to this building and my room was in the older wing. The room itself was fine. A little older and clearly has not be updated but was clean and had more than enough space. The staff at the hotel were very helpful. From the Doormen to the room attendants, there were all very help with information and assistance. Location, was ok as it was pretty easy to get a taxi and steps to the subway.
