Britannia Hotel Coventry

The location of the hotel is the best thing about the hotel. It's in the center and walkable to all the popular places and transportation hub.

In one of the room my friend stayed, she was bitten by bedbugs. There is no parking and the reception staff is quite rude and don't really help with your questions. One of the room was on the top floor and it was boiling and no way to open the windows or there was no air-condition, so it was difficult to stay and sleep in at night.

The staff never met such rude staff in all the stays ive been on. Check in no hello more of a demand of name and id. Miserable face need to learn how to smile and be polite

The location of the hotel was good, we travelled to Coventry by train and it was around a ten to fifteen minute walk into the centre and the hotel. I had checked in online, following numerous emails telling me it was 'urgent' I do this, so at least check in at the desk was quick and straightforward. The rooms were clean and everything in them worked and for the sub £40 price for the night the hotel was perfectly okay.

The hotel and rooms looked very little like any of the images on the website, I can only recognise the one foyer image, which itself really did not look as nice as it is presented. The hotel did all feel quite run down and having to carry my passport for our whole trip just to check into this hotel was a bit of a nuisance, none of the other five hotels we stopped at required photo ID. I didn't find the bed very comfortable but my friend was fine with his. The room was quite hot and stuffy as there is no air conditioning at this hotel and the windows only open about an inch. Communication from the hotel could be better and more polite, after booking I think we had six different emails. First a single line about the hotel not accepting cash, two about all guests needing to arrive with photo ID and then multiple "URGENT action required" emails telling us to check in online. The emails could have been both a little more polite and welcoming and I don't know why they could not put all the information in a single email.

Room very comfortable one problem need bar to help With getting in shower nothing to hold on It's very dangerous.

The girl on that afternoon she was quit miserable when Asked ware to park cars she just said up there she was not helpfull.

Location is great
