The Ambleside Inn - The Inn Collection Group

Paid £125 for 1 night in half term in the middle of Ambleside. Great location. Good size room. Modern bathroom. Breakfast was included in the price. Breakfast was a good selection set up and could order anything off the menu.

No parking - that’s fine as reflected in the price. Bedroom was very dark, some light bulbs needed replacing - this would help.

Friendly, helpful staff, comfortable bed, clean room.

Room was tiny compared to the one we had at the Swan in Grasmere which is part of the same hotel group. There was a large pipe running across the ceiling which had water trickling in it all night. Also very expensive compared to the Swan for a much smaller room . For £195 I would expect more than this.

After checking in, which was hassle free & easy with the help of the friendly staff. We got to our room which was so spacious, & looked over to the main road of Ambleside. We ate at Priestly hole & Matthew’s Bistro which were exceptional. The last night we ate at the hotel, which was very good as well. Breakfast was very high quality, and the all the staff, are so polite and professional. We downloaded the app, which had offers on we used, & was easy to use. Loved it, and will be returning soon.

Filthy dirty toilet see photos… urine and poo splashes not flushed never mind cleaned Very dusty room with stains… Scaffolding outside windows that did not open… Far to hot in room with windows that did not open Rude male check in staff and nothing from duty manager when we pointed out issues. Cold cooked breakfasts… Just wanted to leave as stay spoiled and husband had a sore stomach after eating here. We feel we should be offered a refund.
