Blackwell Grange Hotel

The tv did not work, we asked for help but they just said there is nothing they could do.

Nice view from room. Good gym. Nice grounds and walks.

We booked an executive room at £150 a night. A staff member started to come in to replace hand gel dispenser without knocking on the door, then left a mess in the bathroom which he did not tidy. Room was next to the 'library' with a communicating door (locked). This is used as a staff meeting room. This was very noisy and meant we could get no rest after a long drive. We heard confidential hotel business including particular staff members being discussed - we could not help but hear as the soundproofing was poor. Two radiators came on and could not be switched off leaving the room too hot. We booked for 2 nights, after the first night there were fresh towels showing someone had been in, but no making the bed, no tidying and cleaning dirty glasses, no vacuuming carpet. We checked and could not find this executive room advertised on the hotel website, but did find it on booking.com and other third party sellers; we concluded that the hotel know full well that this room is poor and have given booking.com the worst of the executive rooms, knowing that there are problems and expecting guests just to deal with this

Stayed many times before - ideal location for what I wanted, clean, comfortable and good facilities

They have got rid of their bar food menu which is a real shame as it had a really good selection on it

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful hotel, lovely to see the rabbits running around the grounds - a very relaxing stay
