"Lovely property, unfortunately in need of a major refurbishment, 2 stars at best."

The location and grounds of the property are good. The restaurant for breakfast was nice.

This is not a 4 Star, it struggles to be a 2 star. Very tired, carpet had holes in it, shower overflowing the hob, heating does not work, towel rail heating is random and does not dry towels. Air flow for rooms is non existent. Parking is a real problem with guests not able to park safely in spaces due to events. No fridge in room.

"Never a 4 star hotel."

The property has a good old fashion feel to the interior design. And location was perfect for what I needed.

The beds were dreadful, no heating control in the rooms so was cold. Restaurant dinner food was poor and flavourless. Although the breakfast was good. Bar and reception staff, disinterested and not helpful. Spa is tiny and half of it was not in use, jacuzzi broken.

Clean and tidy beds were very comfy peaceful location

Bar area very cold and booths even colder breakfast was also cold had to ask for it to be microwaved which they did but wasnt the best after being rewarmed altho the quality was very good noone wants a cold breakfast

"Room for improvement"

Popped in for a drink as we were passing by. The lady on reception, I think her name was Anya, wasn't very welcoming. Made me and my partner feel very out of place. Bar service was underwhelming. Polite and accommodating but quite slow by the time we received our drinks. We didn't stay very long but, as previously stated, the Receptionist was very unwelcoming. We came from down south and popped in for a positive experience but after the first interaction, we didn't feel that at all. If we ever come up North and visit Blackwell Grange, we hope for a better experience.
