Parkhotel Mannheim

I booked a double bed and twin bed was given. I paid for breakfast during booking and was asked to pay for it but i declined to pay

Good hotel in a very good central location at a very reasonable price. Clean and basic accommodations.

Our impression was that the hotel had a lot of charm but could use some updates. We stayed for two nights in the family room. We liked the feather pillows, the small refrigerator and the general space of the room. However we felt new carpet and some repairs on the furnishings would be beneficial. The bathroom in general could use some updating but to add to that, upon arrival the toilet paper roll was practically empty and there was only one tissue in holder. We liked the large balcony but found it strange there was no furniture to sit on. Our favorite part was the pool, which we were lucky to have completely to ourselves. I think my biggest complaint would be that there was no coffee machine (I believe due to Covid).

This is a wonderful hotel with a customer service staff! The building is over 100 years old but impeccably maintained. Very clean and safe. The bar area is very quiet and the barmaid attentive; lobby has a very comfortable sitting area. Our room was very nice and had everything we needed. The hotel faces a very nice city park and the tram stop is only a two minute walk from the front door. Bahnhof is a 15 minute walk. I would seriously recommend the Maritime for anyone visiting Mannheim or even Heidelberg (19 minutes by train; 40 minutes by tram). If you stay here you absolutely will NOT be disappointed!

Do not stay at this hotel if you want Air-conditioning when it is hot weather. Small hot rooms.
