Dragon Gate Inn

Clean linens and comfortable bed.

Dated bathroom, though worked fine.

I never actually got into the Dragon Inn.

I tried to check in outside of regular hours. I wasn't able to contact staff. After spending 40 minutes standing on the street I walked to another hotel. By the time I was checked in I got a call from the Dragon Gate Inn asking where I was. I opted to stay in the new hotel and was still charged for the booking. There was obviously a problem in communication that led to a poor and expensive experience.

Decent value for money, quiet, comfortable. The pub next door (Collective Arts) is friendly and nice.

Location is reasonable for getting to downtown but local area and neighborhood is a bit rough around the edges.

The building is basically under renovation, I could smell the painting, dust, and very, very poor ventilation, as the i could hear the person talking on the phone couple room away.

The place was well suited for my needs. There was a lot of room. It had a big bathroom, kitchen area, and two bedrooms. The location was important because it was close to a venue we were going to the next day. The beds were very clean which was important, and they were comfy. It was quiet as well.

The only real issue was that it was cold at night and the blankets were not fully sufficient to keep you well heated. It wasn’t “freezing” just a little cooler than you’d expect.
