The Stratton House Hotel

The location was great. The room was very clean, and the staff was very friendly. The breakfast was lovely, couldn't fault it. Definitely will be returning soon.

Proximity to town centre

No breakfast and thought that was all in the price. No heating in the bedroom No bath mat in slippery bath surface Fire door to end of corridor fully open with door stop and landing window wide open. Sound proofing not good as heard doors closing and foot traffic passing our door at 6 in the morning. No biscuits with the tea tray. Paid extra for the upgrade to king-size bed which cuts down the room size. All in all it was somewhere to lay our heads for the night but nothing special about it. The Hotel looks charming from the outside.

Hotel side of property a bit tired and maintenance was not up to date

The location

Bedroom was far too small. Small TV. Bathroom was small, nowhere to put your towels Asked for a rubber mat but never came. Disabled parking was occupied by a non blue badge holder. No proper breakfast.

Incredibly dated, dirty, old, looked like a cross between an 80’s hostel and Fawlty Towers, the bathroom had a shower on a hook by the bath, no actual standing shower, taps were covered in limescale, mould in the corners, disgusting
