The room was very small Very gloomy.

Tatty and no longer does breakfast. Shower screen was broken. Carpets dirty

Location is good but it seems to be more of a knocking shop than a hotel.

The rooms are tired and old but for the price that is to be expected. However, walls are paper thin. You can hear everything and I mean everything. Stayed with a child and we were woken up numerous time by people coming back. Then the room next door came back with let’s say a new friend. Until 6am we heard everything they did. From the headboard going, to a lot of heavy sniffing. Every credit but my child’s headphones couldn’t contain the noise or the fact are room felt like we were in an air raid shelter with it rattling away. Therefore we had to leave the room and go and sleep in the car for hour. If you’re into the above £72 a night might be a steal for you but it is definitely not somewhere to bring children.

Great ambience & super staff. Comfortable bed, lots of storage & well heated rooms .

The staff at Stratton House were amazing. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, really good quality and friendly service and good value at £12.50. Bar area was welcoming and the beds choice was good.

The shower was tricky to get to the right temperature.

The hotel was clean and our room was spacious. Beds were comfy. No complaints at all. Would stay again if I was in the area.

The rooms could do with modernising, but that didn’t impact our stay at all.
