Hotel Royal Tahitien

We arrived late and were greeted by an employee. That was nice that they waited for us due to a delayed flight. We had a hard time with communication but got to our room ok. The next morning as we checked out and asked for a shuttle we discovered we were charged for transportation we didn’t take. We looked for our name the night before as we asked for transportation to the hotel but we never saw anyone waiting for us. Our name was not in any of the signs. We only found out that they charged us because we were told they were there to pick us up but we never saw them. We never received any reply to our request to begin with prior to our trip. With that said, the shuttle to take us back to the airport was very accommodating and even took us to do some shopping as my luggage didn’t make it with me. The stay was alright and the breakfast was expensive for only being basically a charcuterie board type breakfast. I don’t think we will ever stay there again though based on this experience.

So much confusion about airport transfer. Additional charges at check-in. Very confusing process. Wrong phone number on emails from hotel. Quite a mess!

The hotel staff was really welcoming, warm and professional. They even worked at checking us in even before our check-in time. The room was spacious and clean. The only thing I didn’t like was that the towels were brown instead of white and there was no tissue boxes available in the room which is essential. The breakfast was nice but was missing eggs; you got to provide eggs for the regular continental breakfast. The restaurant was great, we love the beach front, it gives a relaxing and romantic feel while eating. We also enjoyed the live music playing on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Overall we had a great stay, thanks to the nice, jovial and caring staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel was right on the beach which was nice. The rooms were nice sized and clean but the shower did not have a full shower door so the water sprayed all over the bathroom while we showered and the floor kept getting really slippery but besides that our stay was great. The restaurant in the resort was right on the water with a beautiful view. I wasn't impressed with our food or drinks but we had a nice time there and the staff was nice.

The hotel was ok, but very outdated. It does not have all night staff so we we’re a little concerned when we had to figure out how to check out and where to leave the key as the office was closed. We had an early flight to catch and had to find the security guard who was no where in sight when we came down. Probably would pick another place if we ever found ourself on the island again.

we booked a kitchenette as we expected to do alot of our own cooking for breakfast and the odd dinners on their existing induction stove along with their cookware which turned out to be very antiquated with many blisters including a major warped bottom on the only fry pan .... Their maintenance person and service person came to our room only to find out thet they were clueless when it came to replacing the frypan with another pan that was not compatible for an induction pan. I tried to explain that it would not work with the induction stove.....2 hours later they still couldn't understand what I was saying and then they finally left and ...we had to cook with only a microwave. So what did they do for compensation?....they offered us 1 breakfast ...a continental breakfast at that!.... especially when they were setup for omelettes and sausages...etc.... How CHEAP can you get!! ....they finally returned a day later and got us a frypan that was worst than the original one !!!!....so yes ...I was VERY disappointed by their service and their cookware and lack of kitchen basics ...IE paper towels, tin foil, plastic icecubes, opener, they have the bar set low....cheers!

The sliding door would not lock. It could not be fixed. Caution tape was around the pool.
