Kyoto Gion no Yado

Amazing location - in the heart of the Gion you won’t beat it. Fantastic and helpful greeting - close to the main sights in the city. Convenience stores and laundry within a stones throw. A truly authentic and unforgettable experience. Hidden away from the crowds.

Nothing but perhaps be a little mindful of the steep stairs.

The bathtubs and traditional building were awesome.

Wash basin for kitchen and coffee making could be improved.

Cold house, especially on cold nights. Kitchen/dining area cramped.

Location was great! Lots of restaurants and shopping near by. The apartment was clean and equipped with nice tub, microwave and refrigerator. The beds were nice and comfortable. More towels and bath mats would have made the stay more comfortable as the floor gets quite cold after bath/shower. They provided robes which was a nice touch to our stay. The apartment is a little older and got quite cold so we had to keep the heat on high at all times. We felt the cold air coming through the doors and window sills which made the stay less comfortable than we had hoped. Overall, the apartment is traditional Japanese which is nice and close to everything.

We like everything except blankets, they were very heavy.

Absolutely loved our stay here! The location was perfect, very close to public transport, main shopping streets and beautiful Kyoto scenery. The staff were very lovely and accomodating. The property itself was very clean, well kept and nicely priced. It felt special staying in a traditionally styled Japanese home for our Kyoto stay.

Brilliant location. Totally charming accomodation. Was exactly what I hoped for and perfect for Kyoto. So many great option very close by for meals-really good meals.. Bed was incrediably comfortable. Really everything was really clean and charming. Totally recomend and would stay here again in a heartbeat

Could have included a few more handy amenities for tourists.
