Spark by Hilton Mechanicsburg

For the price, I wasn't expecting much but it was much better than I expected. We chose this hotel for it's location, right off the turnpike. Pros: Newly built. Bed was 10+ super comfy. Room was quiet facing the parking lot, clean and spacious, standard bathroom with plenty of hot water. Nice pool and hot tub. Cons: As a budget hotel, don't expect luxury. Towels are soft but not thick, toilet tissue is single ply, decor and furnishings are Ikea-like in primary colors. Complimentary breakfast was oatmeal packets, unpeeled hard boiled eggs and low average bagels and muffins.

All of the staff were very welcoming and professional. Very helpful with local amenities and always very polite. They do an amazing job. I would absolutely stay here again.

Closeness to food/stores

Room was changed without any notice to me and my family, was given a room with one bed , and a pull out couch, right next to the lobby. Was not given sheets or pillows for the pull out couch until I complained to the desk. I booked a room with 2 queen beds, a pull out couch is in no way comparable to an actual bed. Especially in the category of comfort. Door handle in closet literally hanging off the door with nails exposed.

Staff member at check in was very helpful and friendly. Pool area was clean and nice as well.

Front staff while pleasant seemed very inexperienced. Hallway floors were filty with scuffs, walls needed to be painted and repaired. The building while looking new on the outside did not appear to be kept up on the inside.

Everything is very nice, rooms, accommodations, etc. we were right off the highway so it was a big noisy at night, Breakfast is limited but the coffee was excellent.
