Studios and Suites 4 Less Gum Road

This was the worse experience EVER! The first night we were given the keys to someone else’s room. There was not a formal apology for the mistake. The second day, housekeeping entered into the rom without permission saying that they had to change all the beds out for a convention for the following week. After speaking with the manager, he stated there was nothing that could be done because we booked online. We had a few words due to his treatment and he proceeded to use the words “you people!” I took offense to that. This is not ok but he is the owner and there is no corporate office. I will tell anyone DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS HOTEL. The owner is racist and does not care about the guests. In customer service, even if you do dislike a person for their race or gender, you should NEVER allow that to show. It was rude but I am the bigger person so I simply said a prayer and gave the situation to God. To Hotels.com, I would advise you to not do business with this hotel. The contract that you have with them is not worth the humiliation that your customers will have to face by chance.

I didn’t get to check in till 12:00am. I was hoping that i was going to be able to stay later or even another day being that i check in so late

Extremely please. Very nice room; large, comfortable. We will for sure stay again. Great accommodations for the price.

They thought we were only staying two days instead of 3 so It was a little bit of confusion their but overall It was fine

What a lot of people need to understand that this was a Marriott that have foreclosed with Economyof me went down so you’re not gonna have the luxuries of a regular Marriott this is a weekly suite a budget hotel really that does a weekly studios for less the beds the king beds are very comfortable there’s a lot of space in these roomsMy children came to visit me in these rooms and we have enough space to have family time I don’t have any problems with this hotel I don’t know why people are given a one unless they’re just mad because They pay 330 a week which is a pretty good rate for Wi-Fi and everything else and the channels of cable it also has a phone I took a smoking room because of dad’s kid smoke I was on the third floor this is run 3 24. And every time I’ve came out here I’ve been using these people for the past two years they have been nothing but polite to me and everybody has been very polite there won’t be a Breakfast because studios for less doesn’t do the breakfast says however there is a dollar store it’s next to all of the shops Chesapeake Square mall Applebee’s I’ll back steakhouse it has a dollar tree it has Walmart supercenter everything is walking distance is off the bus line so you can take a bus it’s near Cracker Barrel it’s near Chuck E. Cheese’s it’s near the freeway 664 so everything is very convenient over here you don’t have to have a car you can walk everywhere going to or get on the bus line like I do. It also has a lot of storage room as well and has an ironing board it has a iron it has a closet it has a turbot has very hot water and alarm clock big trashcan coffee pot everything he needs in itCan’t say I was satisfied and if this is the one on Gum Rd., Mister Patel’s and GM

I booked this room online due to location & convirience to where I needed to go. Also, the rates were pretty affordable so I thought how bad could it be? Well, when I got there the first things I noticed was the police car parked out front of the building as well as a number of smokers standing around the building. I then checked in & noticed they had a police officer stationed inside of the hotel lobby. I asked about it & in essence told that it was "no big deal". Okay, so I go to my room, unloading our things only to discover a big bag of eaten popcorn had been left in the room. In fact, the night stand table had not been touched so I took a damp paper towel & cleaned it off myself. Later on I noticed that there was a wet spot on the floor so I made sure to keep my shower shoes on & told my boys to do the same. Later on that night, I tried to turn on the air conditioning/heating until only to discover that it was smelling of smoke so I turned it back off. Unfortunately, there was no way of escaping the smell of smoke. It was everywhere including in the air filter system!!! The whole hotel reeked of cigarette smoked, even on the main floor which was suppose to be smoke free!!!! There were also people always hanging out around the building- I did not like this one bit so I called the online booking company & cancelled second night's stay. I then went next door & stayed at the Holiday Inn Express!! It was certainly no smoke there & a complete difference of night and day!!.

Everything was fine except for the remote control not working to the television. Very inconvenient.

I called to see if rooms were available and to see if non-smoking was available. Told the 1st and 2nd floors were non-smoking. Total BS. The hotel smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. If you're a smoker, probably not a big deal.

Stayed here for a weekend with a friend, the hotel was nicer than I expected. Lobby looked somewhat renovated, rooms were quite large, had a full size fridge, a microwave, TWO televisions, roomy bathroom, etc. Was decently clean, though some of the furniture such as the sofa was old and needed updating. Beds were average, slept fine throughout the night. All in all, this place was definitely worth the money and I will be returning to this place if i need another hotel in the area again.

For the low price, I wasn't expecting much more than an average hotel. A great surprise at the end of a long drive. Room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated. Lobby was guest friendly. Staff was courteous and efficient. Will definitely stay here next visit.
