Very nice and cozy hotel with perfect location in a quite part of Edinburgh close to city centre! Special thanks to Eduart for his kindness and hospitality!

Very nice hotel with nice rooms and just a short walk from the city center. The staff was very friendly, especially Eduart during breakfast.

The hotel was perfect for a weekend getaway in a quiet location. The staff at breakfast especially eduart who was amazing a really nice guy very helpful and lora who was very helpful also the hotel should be proud of them.

It was clean. Lovely big bathroom. Good size room. Tea/coffee/ biscuit facilities were very good.

The noisy boiler at 5.30am . Sounded like a plane landing!

We booked a standard room for 2 people, as it was our anniversary they kindly left a bottle of prosecco and chocolates which was a lovely touch which we were thankful for. So to start with the positives, good location not too far to walk to the main centre Royal Mile about 15 mins walk. Beautiful outdoor garden terrace and surrounding gardens. Our room had Nespresso coffee capsules which was a lovely touch. We noticed some very interesting touches like the little lights at side of bed that you could position on amd off easily without disturbing your partner and lights inside the wardrobe. Impressive attention to detail. Complimentary water and shampoo, conditioner and hand wash very nice. The things that I would say were not so good was noise! First night sleep I went into a deep sleep only to be woken at 1am by next door running a bath or shower. Its not that I heard them its that I woke to the pipes with water running through possibly an old maintenance system but we both heard a lot of pipe/water noise throughout our stay which was a shame. The shower is also difficult to get right temperature its either really cold or top hot and they must know they have this issue as bright yellow warning sticker under shower to warn you how hot the water can get. Double bed was standard and would have been nice to have a King size. The windows had a lovely view of outside, like a sky light (see my photo attached) but ruined by them being dirty so I would suggest they clean the outside of the windows. As mentioned in another review there is a distinctive smell in the reception area which is a known thing for higher end hotels and spas to have however not sure they picked the right one, smells of aromatic tea - very distinctive and some people may really like it. One member of staff who was very friendly and kind was Kitty. All in all would recommend.

Location was great for walking wherever we needed to go.
