Riverside Lodge Hotel

Great location as we were attending a wedding . We paid extra for accessibility room for easy access for my husband . Room was spotless ,all staff were courteous and helpful .

Restaurant very efficient with friendly, helpful staff. Excellent range of choice at breakfast. Comfortable bed.

Room in need of updating. Wardrobe door didn't shut properly. Shower VERY hard to turn on and off. Only one bedside table. Bathroom door almost impossible to open and close. I would have expected an hotel of this rating to have a lift.

We have been to the Riverside Hotel a few times and have not been disappointed once. The staff are great, the rooms spotless, food excellent and lovely seating area around the reception area to relax after your dinner. We plan to return in the very near future.

The reception, bar and restaurant areas were lovely. Very modern and looked recently renovated. A lovely atmosphere.

The room didn’t match the loveliness of downstairs. The bed was very uncomfortable, with an old thin lumpy mattress and thin pillows. The receptionist said they were trying to upgrade but it was difficult when it’s always busy. I definitely wouldn’t stay here again, which is a shame because the bar area was so nice.

Met our expectations, including straightforward access and parking.

The food at the evening dinner was acceptable, but not especially interesting.

The evening meal was good value. The staff were efficient and polite.

The hotel is showing its age and facilities need to be updated. The breakfast was adequate. Hot food should be refilled in the kitchen, not in front of guests.
