SpringHill Suites by Marriott Atlanta Alpharetta

Unfortunately, my experience at SpringHill Suites Atlanta Alpharetta was disappointing. Upon arrival, we were assigned a room in unacceptable condition—the bed sheets were visibly stained yellow, and we had to request a room change. Overall cleanliness was poor, staff was not particularly attentive, and the facilities showed significant signs of wear. The bathroom’s exhaust fan was not working, and no basic amenities such as a shower cap or personal care products were provided. There are several critical areas in need of improvement to meet the expected standards of hospitality.

Excellent property for the money. We are traveling to college move-in with two packed cars so were looking for someplace safe. The hotel seems to be in a very safe area, parking is right out front, and the hotel is tucked away too so we felt very comfortable with our choice. Bonus is that we got a suite with a sofa bed (traveling with three large adult children who don't love to share beds) for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was basic but is always nice. Beds were comfortable. Shower is not fancy but water pressure was great. Sink outside the contained shower/toilet area is nice when traveling with multiple people. All in all very happy with this hotel.

Horrible from the start. I arrived late at night and went straight to my reserved, prepaid room - only to open the door to a screaming man who thought I was breaking in. They'd double booked the room. After much scrambling, the night clerk finally found me a different room. It was completely inaccessible (I'm in a wheelchair, but a frequent traveler). I slept just a few hours and the next morning they put me in yet another room. (this was the 3rd in approximately 10 hours) When I entered, I immediately realized the door lock didn't work. The maintenance man said I didn't need it - just use the little flip guard on top. Each of these rooms, by the way, smelled like a dank, musty, north woods cottage. It's also notable when they were trying to find my 3rd room, there was another man showing them a video of his filthy room the night prior and requesting a refund. I'd had enough and went to a different hotel. When I complained, they had the gall to suggest I didn't request an accessible room from the start. That couldn't have been more untrue. And when I requested a refund (had to wait several days to do this, because the manager was on vacation and not even on the premises) they simply refused. So petty. I've been traveling for decades and can honestly say this is, by far, the worst hotel experience I've ever had. If I could give them negatives stars I would.

Our stay was good, the attendant was polite! I love the environment and location of the hotel! We will definitely stay again!

Hotel is usually solid, and i'm not a stickler really, but the room this time had many issues. Stains on the floor, the beds and tables. Several spider webs and bugs in the room. The bathroom door is warped and wouldn't close. The entire room smelled quite bad, of mildew trying to be covered up by an air freshner. It was very humid in the room for reason, almost making the bed sheets feel "damp". The hotel is overall very good, with friendly staff, good bfast and safe/quiet. It was just this particular room.

Your reservation means nothing here. I booked this hotel over 4 months in advance to attend a nearby concert. They called three hours prior to check in to inform me that my reservation was cancelled. They decided to oversell the rooms for higher last minute rates to people booking directly with the hotel and cancelled anyone that booked through a travel site or agency. They said my BonVoy status was irrelevant. The desk person offered no recourse or compensation. We asked about assistance booking somewhere else and they said that was our booking agency’s problem.
