Springhill Suites By Marriott Overland Park

Breakfast was quite good. Elevator sounded like something from a horror movie (and should be serviced soon). The malodorous hallways and elevator were the worst parts of the stay- otherwise, I’d recommend this hotel for a quick stay.

The rooms were nice and clean

Ease of booking and check in was very nice. The staff was kind and personable. The pool temp was a lot cooler than other hotels we have stayed at. And the pool had debris floating in it. My son couldn't handle swimming in it and got out after maybe 2 minutes of being in it. The room was spacious and clean. But the beds were so hard that we woke up with backaches. This seems to be the type of mattress hotels are going with and I wish they would stop. We are staying at hotels to get rest, but if the beds are uncomfortable, we aren't getting the rest we need and I will never return to a hotel with an uncomfortable bed. The breakfast was really good with plenty of variety. And checkout was super smooth.

Upon check in was advised they charge a Facilty service fee on top of your room rate. Really? Another way to make a few bucks? Not a good look. I thought the facility fee was the cost of the room!

Clean room, friendly staff, and great breakfast included! We stayed at the time of a sporting event so it was packed but the staff did a great job making sure the breakfast stayed filled with items. Despite being in a hotel with hundreds of children, the room was very quiet. Also loved there was a pull out sofa since we had 3 adults everyone had their own space to sleep.

It was fine

Had to travel to have heart surgery at the hospital near there and decided to stay at this hotel, from the moment we checked in we were greeted with a smile even though the system was down at that moment but the lady ended up getting us checked in without a wait. I ended up checking out before surgery and i had to end up staying a few extra nights due to some complications and i talked to the same lady i had the first night and she was very accommodating to my needs and let me have a first floor room that was easier access for me to walk to. Thank you so much for the great experience and stay, i will definitely be coming back again. I wish i would have gotten her name but hopefully she will be there again next time but truly the whole staff from the cleaning ladies to other team members made it a great stay.

Loved it

Easy to get into the car park and easy to find.

Very clean. Sofa bed did not have any sheets or blankets on it, went to front desk...NO BLANKETS available. Came down later to get an iron, because there was not one in the room. Said one should be in the room; they didn't have any at the desk. Asked if she could grab one from an empty room. She stared at me and said "no". Very frustrating after no blanket then no iron. Booked at a nice hotel for a reason...
