Extended Stay America Suites - Minneapolis - Woodbury

I stayed here a year ago. The property is a complete 180 compared to my first stay. Clean, great staff working the front desk, and the room was in great condition. Great job on turning this location around!

First room we were given smelled of pot really bad. It was bad! Called front desk and they switched us to another room which was fine. The complimentary Breakfast consisted of just 3 prepackaged muffins. And they ran out of coffee by at 7:30.

Absolutely sad. I used to live in the area and I never knew this place was this bad. So many things going in there. The parking lot is completely lined with semis and bigger trucks along perimeter blocking view of entire place, unaccounted fir children running around everywhere. More of a motel with very bad vibes. Left almost instantly. Tried canceling the room and they wouldn’t let me even tho they said I could when I booked it. I could go on and on but this is heartbreaking to see. It was a “deal” on booking dot com so i was expecting something halfway decent I will never use booking again. Complete loss of words about that place. Very sad. Police were outside when I left and I hope they are watching it because someone needs to.

I hope the children running around everywhere have parents.

The staff are all amazing no matter if it's the manager, front desk, or housekeeping They are very nice, friendly, good people always helpful no matter who ! 😊

We checked in and went to the room and were surprised to see the condition of the room. There was mold in the bathroom and the smoke alarm was wrapped in a plastic bag in the ceiling. I went to the front desk and mentioned the issues. We left, but fortunately we were able to get a refund.

Went because they had free breakfast. No shuttle service to/from nearest transportation makes for a 1hr 20min walk from the gold line. Showed up and was informed I had the last clean room because of staffing issues. Only 3 of 7 rooms required to fulfill reservations for the day got cleaned that day so 4 people had to get called after I showed up to be informed about not having a room. Despite their admission of being short staffed when I inquired about if they were hiring I was told no. Odd Fast forward to the next morning, I wake up for breakfast and I'm told by the front desk it didn't show up today. I was eventually given a tiny frozen muffin and told to microwave it. Asked for a late check out and was given 1 hour even though they had at least 4 rooms from the previous day before they could start that days room.

The room they gave me was leaking water from the shower, and it was very noisy. I booked the room hours in advance, and they still couldn't resolve it.

Staff was terribly rude to me and others.

The manager and staff were terrible, I had to relocate to another hotel after paying a week, and I still trying to get refund for 6 remaining days I didn't stay there. Very bad management and terrible HR skills.
