Sonesta Simply Suites Knoxville

A really good, quiet location in a car dealership/office building area. The room was clean, but needs a little attention - sporadic dishes in the cabinets, missing towel rails, flaky textured ceiling. Overall, really good hotel.

I had a fantastic stay! The room was comfortable the staff were incredibly friendly. Didn’t know about $200 deposit for locals until I got to hotel, knew about the $100 that is posted on hotels.com. Review will be edited depending on whether my deposit is returned or not.

I liked the guy that was working the desk, nice room, affordable.

Ac unit was rigged up with an AC on top of AC; bathroom towel holder was broken, it was rough and way over priced for what it was.

Perfect option for 1 night stay with family.

Rooms all seemed very noisy- when I came in to lobby there was no one.

There was a scent machine running in the lobby so that was the first red flag. We were required to leave $100 deposit in case we smoked in the room even though we requested a non smoking room. When we walked down the hall to find the elevator we came upon the overwhelming smell of bleach. Not the freshly cleaned mild trace but the pour the whole jug to cover the dead body, eye burning smell of bleach. The room itself smelled of cleaning chemicals even though there was what appeared to be black mold on top the floor board that went all of the way around the bathroom and outside the shower stall. We were expected at a restaurant and graduation so we had no time to look for somewhere else to stay. We were packed and checked out by 7 am. We couldn’t wait to leave that disgusting place.

Although this is a pet-friendly hotel, the condition and the cleanliness of this place was not good. Particularly, the carpeting throughout the hallway floors and room look dated and retained an odor, especially on the first floor near the elevator. The tub in the did not look very clean either. Also, the air conditioning unit look dated and there was a mildew smell near the unit. The only positive was the convenience of the location. Otherwise, the entire building needs to be renovated
