TownePlace Suites by Marriott Findlay

The room was clean, bedding very comfortable, the hotel was quiet and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately, when the shower was turned all the way up to hot, it was not hot. We were able to get a hot shower at night but the morning shower was lacking heat.I had read about this problem in past reviews but had hoped that it would have been addressed by now. It has not been fixed. The breakfast options consisted of hard boiled eggs, yogurt, bagels, apples, bananas, etc....no sausage, no scrambled eggs, no bacon. Luckily McDonalds is close by. The location is wonderful since there are many restaurants, shopping and grocery stores in close proximity The pool was drained at the time of my stay. I didn't inquire if they were intending on filling it for the summer season. The outer hotel door had a ziptie on the interior handle, making the locking mechanism ineffective so that anyone without a card could gain access. The doors, oh my goodness, SO SQUEAKY! The interior doors (bathroom, bedroom) do not open and close freely. They get stuck and they squeak. This makes it difficult to be quiet when others are sleeping. Overall it was a quiet and comfortable stay but some of the amenities were lacking.

I stay at a lot of Marriott properties and this felt like one of the the oldest I’ve stayed at. The lobby, halls and room seem old and tired and in need of a major refresh. The halls smell of stale food. The breakfast buffet looked underwhelming so we skipped it. Location is close to downtown and industrial Findlay. Not convenient to I-75 for those just passing through.

We liked the space of the room, but the shower was almost cool/barely lukewarm, the first two days. We had to talk ourselves into showering, since it was so unpleasant. The day we were checking out, we did get a hot shower and were grateful for it. The breakfast was less than average. We thought it would have at least scrambled eggs or sausage or something other than fruit, waffles and yogurt. Lastly, the coffee in the room and at the breakfast area was see through, flavorless and weak. The staff at the desk were nice and the housekeepers were nice and kept the room clean.

I stay hear every other weekend love this place.

Very nice, newly updated rooms . Friendly staff . Close to everything we need.

Were staying w extended family of 4. Reserved hotel because had queen bed & “queen sleeper”. The sleeper was a box spring - a sofa that flipped and was a board covered in vinyl. Spoke to mgmt & they said always get complaints. Had to get room elsewhere and requested refund - 2 weeks later no resolution

The good: SUPER CLEAN. Comfy bedding. Kitchenette was nicely stocked. There is a nice set up IN the closet- a mirror, drawers, & shelves along with loads of space to hang things up. Tons of easily-accessible plugs in practical places throughout the room. Whitney was super kind and helpful. The meh: outdoor pool, only 2 towels in the bathroom, shower was kinda small. The free continental breakfast had decent variety, though the hot foods were obviously foods that could be microwaved elsewhere and brought in to warmers. The terrible: when we got here, they had sold our room!!! we booked, way back in March, a 2 room suite through booking.com. We had to change the dates because 3 of my family had covid. The staff worked with us and assured us these new dates were open. I even called last week to confirm. When we arrived today, the desk employee was surprised that we hadn't been called to inform us that our room had been claimed and that the hotel had oversold their available rooms. She gave us 3 options to make it right- we ended up in a smaller room with a queen bed and a pull out couch. We were so looking forward to having a 2 room suite, but got this smaller one instead. The room only had two bath towels, so we had to ask the desk for two more. Whitney was very accommodating; though she did tell us that since we were here for two days, if we wanted fresh towels, we had to swap them at the desk. So, I took them downstairs, counted them back to the lady (Cori), and she gave me back 3 towels. I explained that I had 4 people in the room, so we'd need 4. She said that the "standard" is 3, but gave me a 4th one anyway. I reminded her that we were supposed to be in a bigger room that came with 4 towels, but that wasn't my fault.
