The County Hotel

Staff were friendly, the room was spacious and the bed comfortable.

The location of the room was above a karaoke bar, as far too hot (even with a fan next to the bed), the curtains broken, the carpet ripped, the sheets didn’t fit the bed, the net curtains were grey and the chair was stained.

The room very clearly had not been cleaned. We checked in and went into the room. First thing I did was go to use the bathroom and as soon as I opened the toilet lid there was somebody’s waste left in the toilet unflushed. We immediately grabbed our bags and had to leave to find a different hotel for the night. The lady at the front desk was helpful and offered us an upgraded room instead but after that experience I did not trust the cleanliness of the hotel and was put off from ever staying here and just needed to leave and so we were refunded.

The cleanliness was awful and to add to this the hotel is like a maze we went down far too many corridors, up stairs and along more corridors then down stairs and again along more corridors just to find our room which we could not stay in because it was disgusting and had not been cleaned.

Street noise wasn’t great.

Great big room, excellent location, decent breakfast and lovely staff

Lighting in the room could be better, energy saving bulb in a room as big as this was useless and there was only one bedside lamp in a double room.

Oud .vies. ruikt onfris in de gangen, niet goed schoongemaakt, kamerlicht kon niet uit, daarom lamp zelf verwijderd, tot 1 uur 's nachts dreunt de hele kamer, ook het bed, door ventialatie fan , of zoiets, beneden Parkeren is niet gratis werd GBP 8,00 voor berekend !

Central location.

Lift not working. Toilet broke. Limited parking. Rooms small.
