Maleena was great from the moment I checked in. Great attitude!

We came for Big South, a volleyball tournament, and had a wonderful experience. It is a 7-10 minute walk to the convention center, staff was super helpful and kind-especially Leah, and i recommended staying here again to my club director!!

I stayed at The American Hotel Downtown in Atlanta, and I want to share my experience. You have to call the front desk just to switch the HVAC system between cooling and heating modes. I requested that they switch it to the heating mode, but despite waiting for two days, the heat was never turned on. When I called again to follow up, I was told that the maintenance team was working on it and that I needed to give them more time. We were forced to stay in a freezing room for two days. Furthermore, housekeeping arrives around 3:00 PM, right when you are in your room working. Normally, room cleaning routines should be completed in the morning. The in-room safe is completely out of order. Because of this, I had to carry my considerably heavy valuables in my backpack for two days. Although this is classified as a 4-star property, I can rate it 2 stars at the absolute most.

Raylon went out of his way to help us check in. From the moment we got there he made us feel so welcome!

- AC didn’t work for 75% of the stay - front desk did not answer the phone, I called multiple time - our tv didn’t work for the first night - breakfast is chaotic and poorly run - no complementary coffee

The customer service was phenomenal from our valet David when we arrived. Then the front desk attendants Gary and Matthew had exceptional hospitality.

I had such a great experience at the hotel, and a huge part of that was thanks to Matthew. He went out of his way to make sure everything was smooth and stress-free. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making my stay enjoyable. Matthew truly went above and beyond. I really appreciate his help and would absolutely stay here again because of the excellent hospitality.
