Ana Crown Plaza Hotel is located in a quite area and is not far from Kyoto main train station. We like this lovely hotel because the friendly and knowledgeable of Bell Captains- answered our questions and provided great recommendations of places to visit and the hotel is neat and provides great breakfast buffet. Moreover, the majestic Nijo Castle is just cross street of the hotel.

A bit dated but it’s ok and clean. Decent size rooms Free shuttle from and to station every day Pool is big and warm but the steps into it are like bars so not good if you have mobility issues Spa and pool you need to pay for every day. Drinks and food expensive but plenty choices nearby. Try lemon soar short walk away!

Nice location. A bit quiet and close to train and right opposite the castle. Also easy to get to the golden pavilion.

Pool could definitely need a make-over. Looked so old, painting gone in so many places and not very inviting overall. Also we had a room where the window couldn’t open so there was a horrible smell of mold or similar. Very friendly staff gave us a new room.

One misgiving was the beds could have had firmer mattresses and more solid bed frames. Another Huge oversight was the fact that there were NO hooks on which to hang the bath towels. Thus we needed new towels every day. A simple hook or two would have allowed us to dry our towels without the need to replace them each day. Other than that - we enjoyed the hotel very much.

Old hotel in need of a revamp. Good, comfy beds and fresh clean bedding. Nice service overall and lovely staff but given wrong room at check in but they sorted it out quickly. Good location and reasonable value for money

Great location by the Nijo Castle. Great food in the hotel and nearby.

Perfectly located! a short bus or taxi ride from the train station. bus line and metro line run walking distance from the hotel. Nice lounge in the lobby , and multiple high end restaurant on the property. Very nice room, very well equipped and nice bathroom.

We didn’t get an explanation of the amenities at the hotel so we didn’t use them. We asked about them, even my second guest asked about them, and were informed we’d have to go to each amenity space to find out more. This is a deal breaker since my guest is physically disabled!! Also, the room we were in seemed really old, carpet in the bathroom old, which meant that it also smelled really old and didn’t come with any handicap additions for my second guest. Were a little surprised it’s marked as a 4 star hotel, when the previous 3 star hotel we had just stayed in provided a more luxurious experience.
