"Lovely calm atmosphere."

Nipped in for a coffee. Very relaxing atmosphere, such comfortable chairs. Service was excellent, very attentive staff. Lovely coffee at a not too expensive price. Toilets were very clean with high end products.

"My day at the Midlands"

What lovely great service. Cynthia in the lounge area was amazing she made our visit great. She went above and beyond nothing was a problem. I will be visiting again. "No heating "

We checked in at 3pm and went to our room which was freezing as the air conditioning was on and pumping out cold air, the control unit was not working and had a fault message on it. We informed reception who said they would send an engineer to look at it, we told them we were going to a concert and wouldn't be back in until late. When we returned later that night the room was still freezing as nobody had been to look at it, we informed reception again and because it was late at night they just brought us up a portable heater. We both woke up in the morning with sore throats from breathing in cold air. This was an expensive hotel but I would avoid at all costs.

Everything was fine but for a hotel of this calibre it’s disappointing that they skimp by providing only one breakfast teabag and a tiny shortbread biscuit each.
