Crowne Plaza Reading

The staff waiting on us for our breakfast & evening meals gave us excellent service, namely Dawn, Charley, Sonil & Amelia. The hotel location was ideal for taking exercise along the Thames footpath in the early morning, away from the traffic strewn roads.

The line dancers weekend. I had an amazing stay. Clean comfortable room. Great dinner and breakfast The spa is excellent. And a big big thank you to Ruva and Isabel who totally looked after us. The hotel is right on the river and close to the town centre Thank you again

Will I would have given to hotel 3 start because of the aircon was not working in my room and the room I was in was 209. 5 out of 5 When I checked in the front desk staff with very good and help full. 4 out of 5 the room 209 with clean at a high lvl which was nice to see 5 out of 5 the staff at the bar will amazing 2 out of 5 breakfast I asked a gentleman of Indian background chef if you got gluten-free pork sausages, he went to the back asked where I was waiting here chef say no and the gentleman didn’t come back and tell me Breakfast turned around to 5 out of 5 I was going to hut her name down but I’m not going to but she is on training name start with a D that all I giving and this is how all staff should be. She ask me do I need help When back and ask the chef went back ask the chef he said no and she came back out to me and told me they just only had vegan sausage. Where I said no thank you can I have 3 gluten-free toast? And I ask do they have Frosty’s? And the chef had no idea. She came out and said the chef has no idea but she will go and have a look for some so about around 10min later she came out with some. It was like looking at an angel with Frosty’s lol. She was so help full I’m a IHG member at the cap wheee the hotel see in this class. I work all over the Uk and I see lots of hotel staff if she like this is training I can her going up the ranks in the hotel fast. And there a second female member of staff and you could see when I clock her doing her job and looking at checking on the staff that was training. Top mark on her to not jumping in and letting learn. One big thing hotel need to start to learn but there still working in the past gluten allergy is coming more common in the UK. And people started more of a gluten free diet to is coming more common. And with this change around the corner hotel like this Crowne Plaza is going to fall behind and alienate the people with allergies and people who have a gluten free diet but better health

I've been staying here for the last 3 weeks and have 3 more and the staff here are the most helpful I've seen. Especially Christina and Michael always Polite and any issues get dealt with swiftly. Thank you both you deserve praise from your managers 💙💙💙

Whole experience was enjoyable. Would go here again when I’m back in Reading

The lady at the front desk was terse, did not seem friendly.not only woth us but those in frontnof us also. We had to pay for car park but premiar inn was free, not great. The guy at breakfast was friendly ,nice guy.

Great location on the river, nice bar overlooking the Thames to watch the world go by and nice pub over the bridge in Caversham. . On site parking. Good breakfast. Nice room with large balcony and a great view. Comfy bed and good shower. Lacking bedside power points (I charge my phone overnight). Would happily return.

The public areas of the hotel were all lovely and breakfast was good. The room itself was fine but nothing special. Perfectly clean and functional and the beds were comfy. I think for the rating and the price you just expect slightly more but it definitely is a safe booking.

Lovely location right on the river The Hotel is excellent well maintained Now looking forward to breakfast My Wife and I loved staying here will certainly use this hotel if we are in the area again
