Homewood Suites by Hilton Reading-Wyomissing

We have been going to Budds Creek track for events past 3 years and this was by far our best hotel stay yet. The rooms are huge. Out door grills and seating area was wonderful for evening dinner.

There were some positives here, but overall I would not recommend staying here in its current condition. To start with the positive, the check-in attendant was very nice and did her best to help. Unfortunately, it was obvious she was overwhelmed, and there should have been additional staff at the front desk, as the check-in line stretched all the way to the front door. We were initially told our room was not ready even though it was after 4 p.m., though she was able to make adjustments and get us into a room without too much additional waiting. Once we got to the room, though, we ran into several issues. The system on the back of the TV was disconnected, so we had to plug it back in ourselves. There were also multiple maintenance and room-condition problems, including a broken toilet paper holder, a leaking sink and missing items in the room. Since we were only there for one night and leaving at 3 a.m., it did not make sense to have everything addressed right then, but we did make someone aware afterward. This property seems like it has potential, but it needs more investment in both the physical upkeep and the overall guest experience before I could recommend it. Until then, I would suggest looking at other options in the area.

I did not like the check-in time at 3pm, while check-out time is 12pm, as this didn’t leave any quality time to fully enjoy my stay. I felt that my morning was rushed and I didn’t appreciate that.
