Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Madison South

We were placed on the opposite end of the construction happening at the hotel. The bathroom and room was clean. Price was great and why I chose this hotel.

A bit cramped for breakfast but understood given their construction.

Breakfast was very good. Beds very comfortable. Quiet.

The hotel was under construction but it was not a problem during out stay.

Front desk girl was really nice

They did not inform us the hotel was undergoing renovations and we had to walk outside to the hotel next door to use the pool. Ice machine didn’t work on our floor. There was no water in any of the vending machines. When we first turned on the bathroom faucet, it was full of red rust color. Breakfast was not that great. Ran out of eggs second morning

Under construction

The room was fine. It was quiet and clean. Bed was too soft. Staff was polite and helpful.

The room cost $50 more per night than last year and the hotel was under remodeling construction. No pool, no hot tub and breakfast in temporary quarters. Breakfast was poor. Food spread out in two rooms--butter in one room and toaster in the other. Eggs inedible. The alarm clock hadn't been reset for the end of daylight savings time. Wifi was only for one device per room. The pool at the Sheraton was offered--but who wants to walk over there in the cold and then walk back all wet. Maybe they should wait to raise prices until after the construction is complete.

the hotel is under construction. I do not remember seeing this when I booked and I did not get notified by booking.com when we checked in the entire first floor and elevator were covered in construction dust.
