Mövenpick Resort Petra

Our room is facing the courtyard Very noisy in the evening due to the lobby lounge n afternoon tea with lots of guests Also no cooling air conditioning n the room was extremely hot 🥵 even in winter/ spring! The friendly hotel staff has to provide a fan to ventilate our room in winter ! How could this be happening in a 5 stars rated hotel 🏨! In term of the room temperature, I would rate it 2/5 ! We do not need a heater or a set central heating in a courtyard facing room! The guests still sweat 😓 in this type of room even after a cold shower 🚿 in winter ! Can MÖVENPICK Petra improve this issue in the future ?

Anas.k bar manager and muath .N the helpful at the lobby bar . I had caught a chest cold while traveling for 2 weeks with a group. Anas prepared a special tea to help me. I slept well and awakened refreshed. The drink helped clear some of my lung congestion so that I was able to walk 5 miles today to the Treasury and beyond. He is an exceptional manager who helps people. Especially travelers!!!

My husband and I had an unusual experience at this lovely hotel. When we were traveling with our tour group, we had dinner at the Al-Maga’d bar/restaurant in the hotel. I had been experiencing an uncontrollable cough for several days on our trip, and it was getting worse. In the middle of eating my Greek salad, the salty Kalamata olives suddenly made my whole throat feel tight and closed--up, and I began coughing uncontrollably and couldn’t stop. People around us thought I was choking on food. One of their bar employees, Anas K., and also Muath N. and Mohammad A., came to my rescue immediately with a drink of very warm water, lemon, and honey. Very soon, I began to feel much better, and the tightness went away, and I wasn’t hurting so much. I feel so grateful to these new friends for their care, and helping what could have been a very bad experience turn into a great example of human kindness. Carol W. - Minnesota

I had the pleasure of staying at the Movenpick Resort Petra this week and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I especially appreciated the fine work by the housekeeping team of Jawad and Muayad who ensured our room was in top shape. The buffet was also very good and I highly recommend it. Thank you all!

The location being close to petra is best.

They didnt have steam room / sauna as complementary for guest, it was additional charge. Also the gym wasn't great at all, mostly old machines. The pool was closed for maintenance, also their roof top restaurant was closed.

We visited for drinks each evening we were in Petra and were never disappointed. We enjoyed Chocolate Hour as well as the available drinks. The location was close to our hotel. The atmosphere was very nice. Staff have all been excellent. From the welcoming smile, laughs & conversation with Muath.N each evening, the welcome from Anas K or the excellent chocolate from Chef Noor… thank you!

We are having a wonderful stay at the Movenpick-Petra, which is literally across the street from the entrance to the trail for The Treasury and the ancient ruins. The hotel is beautiful, safe and very well maintained. Our Suite King room is spacious and nicely appointed. Food at the Al Iwan restaurant was excellent. A special thanks to our housekeeping staff of Fasal and Hamza who have taken good care of us. I am certain you will enjoy your stay.
