Rooms are old.. beds are worn out.. floors are old creaky wooden floors..

Unfortunately, our experience with this hotel was very disappointing. In September, we had a confirmed group booking for 18 people arriving by motorbike. On the morning en route to the hotel, we were informed that it was undergoing refurbishment and was not ready, and that we had been moved to another hotel in a different town. While the staff there were pleasant, the alternative accommodation was clearly not of a comparable standard. As we were due to return with a larger group a week later, we decided to cancel the second booking due to concerns about reliability. The hotel confirmed in writing that we would receive a refund plus 20% compensation for the initial booking. We are now at the end of November and, despite repeated follow-ups, the matter has not been resolved. We have been told the issue lies with previous management, but as guests, that is not our responsibility. Based on the poor handling of this situation and the complete lack of follow-through, we would strongly advise others to think very carefully before booking here

Lovely pool area. Fantastic breakfast. Comfortable bed. Close to all restaurants.

Small things that need to be fixed in due time

The welcome at the reception. The entrance is beautiful and we received welcome drinks when we arrived. The rooms are spacious and have nice decks to sit on when having your morning coffee.

NOT worth the price. I understand the resort is still renovating but then they need to lower their prices. I won't pay more than R800 a night for the standard room. We were in a back wing, felt secluded. The back parking is a bit sketchy. Only 1 pod per person to make coffee each day and nothing else, just water. No hairdryer in the room. Very basic room. The lighting is terrible - don't try and do make up in the room. There is no extractor fan in the bathroom, so no ventilation. The shower spray wets the entire bathroom floor. The beds are not super comfortable. The place has a lot of potential, but not there yet.
