Loews Miami Beach Hotel – South Beach

Not anywhere near worth the money. A soulless hotel that is simply there to rip you off and very poor service. A few examples:- (1). Breakfast doesn't include the 'à la carte' menu so unless you want a poor buffet set of options why bother paying for what is on offer. And a 'cappuccino' isn't included for breakfast apparently - they want to charge you $9 for the privilege. (2) queue like cattle to be given a 'ticket' for breakfast in a 20 people deep queue to be told to then wait to be called in the lobby to be called for breakfast. So 45 minutes before actually eating! (3) paid for a bedroom to have a balcony. What they don't tell you is that you literally share said balcony with the room next to you with no security or separation and two cheap chairs to be shared with your next door 'room mates'. That's if you can get on the balcony as the patio doors appear to have been there from the 80s and almost impossible to open. (4) no kettle / tea options in the room. Okay, but then when you go down to ask for room service tea, surprise surprise it never appears. (5) sunbeds at the pool rammed together such that there is literally zero personal space with other guests. Meanwhile the 'paid' areas are dead, god forbid you give this space for guests to simply feel comfortable outside. I could go on........ find somewhere else like the Betsy if you want any level of personal touch. This is an expensive hotel charading as something premium simply because of its scale and basic make over recently. Hotels in other parts of the world wipe the floor with this hotel.
