Birch Hill Suites Kansas City - Independence

It wasn’t great. Only one lamp in the room, overhead light didnt work. Lots of mold. The shower wall was broken. Smelled like cigarettes and the sheets had burn marks in them. Only one chair for the small table and all of it was dirty.

Staff was great and made it easy at check in and place overall is clean and comfortable.

It was dirty, and the manager told me i would be fined if i cleaned it up.

Shame on you booking.com to provide such false info! None of the pictures is real, the rooms are aweful! Shower not working. Kitchenette with cabinets doors stolen, no pot to boil water, bad smell! And excuse me... where is the palm tree from the picture? For sure not here!!!! Boooo!

I was ask to put my card in the credit card machine before they can continue the check in did ,then they said they couldn't check me in because I didn't have proper id.i then said well I need a refund cause you already charge my card and I was told they d ont do refunds for any reason and I said your not allowing me to check in they didn't care I said this is fraud like some type of scam you can't charge someone for there room then not allow them t o stay and not give them there money back scam! Fraud

The rooms were clean. However, the grounds were always in need of cleaning. There was a lot of cigarette smoke I had to walk through at times to get to my room. The elevator worked just fine. For the price and I would definitely stay again.
