Hotel Canata Kyoto

An amazing stay experience! The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. We had one of the suite rooms facing Nijo castle, and the view was wonderful! The room was very spacious and nicely furnished, and the beds were super comfortable, too. The bathtub even came with a built-in jacuzzi! If you like to read, they have a little library in the lobby with lots of books about Japan and you can read them while having a drink in the lounge or take them to the room as well, which I thought is a nice touch. On the first day we used public transportation to get around, but when we arrived we noticed that they also offer a bicycle rental which was cheaper than other services we saw, especially since they also had electric motors fitted. We rented them on the second day which made it very easy and convenient to get around the city. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a little different experience while staying in Kyoto.

Excellent hotel located right in front of Nijo Castle. The building is modern and luxurious, and you can easily see that they have takeb care of all the details in the decoration and furniture. The staff, in addition to being friendly and polite, knows how to speak English (there are also foreign staff), so there are no problems when it comes to communicating if you don't know how to speak Japanese. The room was spacious, and the beds very comfortable. In the room you will find a lot of amenities: from pajamas, slippers, and a bathrobe, to free coffee, tea, and bottles of water. Our room had views to the castle, so it was great opening the curtains in the morning to a beautiful landscape. On the ground floor there is a bar where you can have the last drink before going up to the room. They have quite an extensive menu with more than 50 different cocktails (including non-alcoholic ones too), and several categories of wine, champagnes, and liquors. We really had a pleasant stay, we do not only recommend it, but we would like to repeat the experience if we return to Kyoto.

The Canata staff is very professional and friendly. They even brought my charger to me at the next hotel when I forgot it in my room. The rooms small and beautiful. There are several light switches so you have to figure out where they all are to turn them off at night. The bar was not open during our stay, but it looks very nice.

Fantastic stay!!! Cannot speak highly enough about this hotel. Beautifully appointed, modern, brand new hotel. Every little detail has been considered making the rooms both functional whilst also visually appealing. High end speakers, amenities, beautiful baths, showers and whilst no english tv there is Netflix english options available. Funky and relaxed vibe welcomes guests in the reception and bar area. Staff are incredibly friendly, personable and go out of their way to assist. Excellent english speaking. Location is stunning set right in from of the Nijo castle. This hotel is without question this hotel was an absolute gem. Highly recommended

二条城のすぐ前にあり、立地が良かった。 インテリアもオシャレで居心地がよく、二条城の雰囲気ともちょっと共通した空気感があってよかったです。 アメニティもよかったです♪

アメニティも充実しており、過ごしやすかったです。 スタッフの方が周りのお店の案内をしてくださったり、買ったお土産のために保冷剤を下さったりと親切にしてくださり感謝です。

流石ではあった。浴槽広いのだが打ちっぱなしコンクリなので、溜まるまでに時間がかかってんが掛かるので待ちきれなくて入った。溜める様に水量が多いともっと良いかも。

部屋の入り方がとても高級感があって独特で秘密基地に入っていくようで非常にワクワクしました。照明の明るさや室内の色合いが非常にちょうど良く落ち着いた時間を過ごすことができました。何度も宿泊したいと思いました。

Wundervolles Hotel. Toller Stil und ausgesprochen höfliches Personal. Die Gegend war schön, aber etwas weiter draußen von den Sehenswürdigkeiten, die uns angezogen haben. Das ist aber Ansichtssache. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen und empfehlen zu 100% dieses Hotel.
