Hyatt Carmel Highlands

Loved our room, 502. It was a townhome overlooking the ocean. Sunset views every night. The townhouse is living room and kitchen on the first floor and you walk down to the bedroom. You are able to Crack the windows in bedroom but not fully open. Balcony is on the first floor with living room. It wasnt big but good enough for 2 ppl. Our room was also close to pool, hot tub and the lobby. We loved having the two separate spaces. The electric fireplace added ambiance. If you wanted to cook, totally could here! The 2nd full bathroom was also a nice feature. The bathroom with bedroom was oversized and had a big closet

We had dinner at Pacific Edge one time, it was OK food for a high price. Wouldn't recommend, better places to eat elsewhere. The bed was not comfortable nor were the pillows. The towels all need updating in my opinion, they are worn.

Very nice hotel

The area is very nice, ocean view and pine trees. The building lacks good sound proofing - you can hear people on both sides walking, like they are walking upstairs. The restaurant is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and there no restaurants close-by. Parking is a bit far from rooms, so it's a walk up and down hills.

Very friendly staff, the property was very clean and quiet. Beds were extremely comfortable with great pillows. The rooms were very clean and nice bathrooms.

The room was beautiful unfortunately we only got to use it to sleep and saw its beauty in the morning because check in was 2 hours late and we had to leave the property to get ready for an event at another hotel. awful experience with staff

We stayed at Highland Inn four days. I was nervous because reviews were mixed. Our ocean view room was nice we did not find it outdated. Housekeeping took good care of us we always had fresh towels and clean room to return to. The breakfasts were wonderful and wait staff exceptional. We had breakfast everyday and husband said breakfast highlight of trip. We had dinner once. We enjoyed it and sunset view was amazing. We found the location very good, close to attractions in area but quiet and peaceful. The property is large. Its alot of walking and stairs. We are in our 60s and did fine but I can see that difficult for some people. Parking was far from our room, we did use valet a few times. But did fine walking it too. Grocery store is nearby and a nice laundry room avaiable at hotel. Gym facility was well equiped. We enjoyed our stay and would go back if in the area again.
