La Plaza Inn Los Banos

When we checked in, we weren’t greeted - the woman on duty just sat behind the counter (didn’t even stand) and asked for my ID and card. The door cards and readers are the kind that you have to scan 20 times to get just the right read before the door will open. Ten minutes after my tepid shower, the soles of my feet were black because the pseudo-wood floor was filthy. The “queen-sized” bed was so small that I almost fell out of it. There was a gun shot hole in the bathroom mirror. The amenities included small plastic pouches of shampoo, lotion, and soap. There were bugs flying around the bathroom during my shower. When we checked out, we had to wait in the cold for someone to come and unlock the “lobby” (which was not really a lobby - just a desk). It was a ridiculously bad stay.

We got to this hotel at 10:30pm with my son who has medical issues that are aggravated by lack of sleep. The room we got was the worst I’ve ever seen in a hotel. Everything was dirty. My son was already sleeping by the time my bf and I realized that the sheets hadn’t been changed... there was dirt, drip marks, hair and even coins in the bed. One of the beds was broken. The blankets had holes in them. The bathroom was filthy, there were items left from a previous traveller. The floor had visible dirt on it... there were even coins in the corner of the room that hadn’t been found during “cleaning”. And then to top off our horrible night, there was a girl out in the parking lot yelling at her bf until 2am. Out of desperation to let my son sleep we dealt with it. We slept in sleeping bags on top of the bed... the next morning, we tried to let the front desk clerk know of our experience and he just kept talking over us and not listening, insisting that the room was fine. We never received an apology for what happened and I left angrier than I’ve been in a long time. This place has horrible staff and should not be called a Red Roof Inn.

it was a nice place to stay I would come back any time

When we arrive i couldn't check in because there was an "error" on my reservation, I had to cancel it and pay again to make another reservation but they told me no to worry because I will get my money back in 7 days (sarcasm), once I got the key of my room while I was getting my luggage i saw a lot of people outside of their rooms smoking weed, shirtless, they looked like "cholos". This hotels lacks of family friendly environment, the floor seems like wasn't been sweep for days, there were minimum like 10 flies in the room and I couldn't get rid of them, sink was clogged and the sheets of the bed didn't look and didn't feel clean, I slept with all my clothes on. First and last time that I stay on this hotel and if somebody ask me which hotel do I recommend at Los Banos location the fist thing that I will say is "STAY AWAY FROM LOS BANOS RED ROOF HOTEL IS DISGUSTING".

It's an older facility. The place needs a good upgrade. The place does not meet the standards expected of Red Roof. Bath fixtures need to be replaced. They are either hard to use or are clogged. The staff was pleasant and well attired.

I was highly satisfied with my experience at the Red Roof Inn in Los Banos California the management there was very friendly with great hospitality people say a lot about this one hotel but I can honestly say from finally experiencing it myself and the upgrade they've done it's nothing like it was

We like the property, in addition the rate is affordable while in hard financial situation. Even is the room rate was free it should be spotless. Housekeeping really needs to make lots of improvements. It's nasty to find garbage under the bed. I wanted to rest but I chose to show you what clean means.

The room was filled with flys, smelt bad, no hott water, ice machine broken, stained bedding and floor. Foccet broken. Just disgusting
