Extended Stay America Select Suites - Raleigh - Cary - Regency Parkway South

I book a non-smoking room but was given a room filled with weed smoking odor and the carpet is moldy and smelly. I requested to change room and was told all the rooms are the same condition. I called Expedia and was told to call back in an hour. I called back several time and the answers are the same "call back in an hour". I had to go to another hotel.

The service was bad from the start. I was charged again for a room that was already paid for online so I had to get that charge reversed. We dropped off our stuff and went to an event we had planned. We saw that the trash can still have a couple items in it. Then we opened up a cabinet drawer to find trash left inside of it. When we came back in for the the night and turned down our bed we found dirty laundry stuffed under the bed. Disgusting!!! Then when we approached the staff about the issues, they acted like it was no big deal and just moved us to another room. I feel like we should be entitled a full refund because it was very uncomfortable to stay after that and no one in our party got a good night of sleep!

Location and room size was good.

Roach in the bathroom when we arrived, but only 1. Bed spread was stained on both beds. The smoke detector was missing. The screen was hanging off the window.

Hotel is in a very quiet area. Easy access to major roads. Beds were very comfortable. Only downside was the shower in our bathroom. Almost no water pressure. Also, the kitchen in our room was not stocked at all. Not sure how that is supposed to work. Nothing was said about it but we didn’t ask as it wasn’t important during our short stay. Overall, perfectly fine for two women traveling alone. Room was huge so plenty of space to spread out.

You didn't have an ice machine!

I had to ask at the front desk for all the amenities that are usually in the room at a hotel, i.e. hair dryer, soap, shampoo. I also had to ask for the seat for the shower. No ice machines in the whole building! I have never stayed in a hotel that didn’t have ice machines. Sadly in need of a renovation. Paint peeling, stained carpet.

Really dirty cockroachs in bathroom and noisy

In a quiet location.

An outside Security Door would not close. There was pubic hair on a towel & washcloth. There was floating dust/dustballs on floor. The Ironing Board was broken (almost inoperable). The shower constantly dripped. And…. Someone accessed my room, while I was asleep, at approx. 6-6:30 am (we were both shocked)!
