Love the pool and spa area! Being on the water side and first floor was lovely, as you could walk right out to the beach.

Auf dem Weg von USA nach Kanada, ein schöner Stopp, Lage sehr fein, Natürlich wie so viele Hotels in den USA schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Die Fernseher waren schon so alt, dass man kein Netflix sehen konnte..

Good property but very poor facilities No laundry facilities or taxi services

Before arriving we were told there were issues with our room and that we would be moved to a suite with a $100 dining credit. So I made a dinner reservation at the onsite restaurant. However, when we arrived the person at check in had no information about the room change or the dining credit. Seems like someone should have told me that the dining credit was taken away. I checked in at 6pm and the reservation was for 6:45pm. Too late to change plans. I never would have went to that restaurant without the dining credit. The reviews weren't good. We had horrible service and below average food. Bummer. Then to top it off the power went out at the resort. We showered in the dark the morning we left. We had a flight to catch so I had to leave with wet hair. When we left the keys at the front desk, the person didn't apologize or offer any kind of credit for not having electricity. The person literally said nothing to us when we handed over the key card and left.

I was married at Semiahmoo 30 years ago… our wedding was spectacular and stunning. This place is always been special to me and my husband. We visited to celebrate our 30th anniversary this weekend and I have to say I was heartbroken to see the state of the resort. On the outside paint was chipped and peeling windows were obviously failing, screens were broken gardens were unattended. There were weeds everywhere and considering this was probably the opening weekend of the summer no special attention had been made, much less a minimum level of care. Our room had obviously undergone a Janky remodel with what look like furniture from IKEA that didn’t match the motif of the Rich wood doors, paneling and bed. I’m not sure who designed the remodel but clearly it was done with dorm quality accessories on a budget with lamps purchased from what look like bed Bath & beyond. While it was comfortable, I have stayed in nicer low budget hotels hotel rooms that cost way less than the $400+ per night. That being said location is everything and the beach and the views continue to be unbelievable and special. That is the only redeeming redeeming quality of Semiahmoo right now. Plus, we got to have our dog but so did other people and there was a dog that was clearly locked in its room alone that started yapping at about 630 this morning and continued for hours. I plead with the owners to find the funds or investors that will bring this beautiful amazing property back to its former glory.
