The staff were all nice

The hotel is under renovation which wasn’t noted anywhere. Due to this (renovation inside and out) it was VERY noisy at all times. Due to them beating on walls on the other side of our room I was unable to ever get my baby to sleep. There was 0 hot water in the hotel, which I did go to the front desk about but never heard a resolution. After 10 minutes of trying to let the water heat up, it was still ice cold, 15 minutes later you would get Luke warm water at best. The rooms smelled horrible of body odor as did the beds. The beds smelled so bad in fact in the morning you woke up smelling like someone else’s body odor. They also needed a good cleaning overall. Hair and crumbs all over the floor. The ac in the room was VERY noisy all night and due to the property’s location it sounded like you were sleeping in a train station. The pool also was closed which wasn’t noted. Thankfully I was able to get a refund for the nights not stayed and we moved to a different hotel.

It was under construction they were remodeling the lobby area upon our arrival and at departure the elevator was inoperable. Me and my elderly mother had to walk down 5 flights of stairs. Our room had a water leak by the sink too.

Good location for our needs in Kennesaw town center, check in was easy, nice staff, and the breakfast was very good, with Costa Coffee being a welcome surprise!

Beds were very very soft and one bed frame was very creaky. Rest of the room was fine and appears to have been recently redecorated, so hopefully the beds are next for updating.

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences I’ve Ever Had – Avoid at All Costs Its been a while since I felt inclined to write a bad review, but my recent stay at the Holiday Inn Kennesaw in Atlanta, GA left me so disappointed—and frankly, angry—that I feel compelled to warn others. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this stay was going to be a disaster. The lobby was filled with overwhelming paint fumes from ongoing renovations. Not only was it uncomfortable, but it felt unsafe to breathe in. There was no warning about this when booking, and certainly no apology when we arrived. Unfortunately, things only went downhill from there. My room was filthy. Not “missed a spot” dirty—truly neglected. A foul odor lingered in the air, and the general condition of the room was unacceptable. It was clear that cleanliness and quality control are not priorities at this location. One of the two beds smelled so bad, it was unusable. To make matters worse, the hotel was filled with loud, unruly guests who made it nearly impossible to sleep. The noise persisted well into the night, and hotel staff did absolutely nothing to intervene or restore any sense of peace. When I tried to bring up my concerns to the front desk, I was met with rudeness and complete indifference. There was no effort to make things right, no apology, and no professionalism. I also followed up with management after my stay via email, hoping someone would take the time to acknowledge the poor experience. No response. Not even a courtesy reply. I also called and received the same treatment. It was ONLY AFTER I contacted IHG and escalated the issue that the manager replied without a resolution. It’s hard to describe how disrespected and dismissed I felt as a paying guest. The combination of unhealthy conditions, an unclean room, disruptive environment, rude staff, and total radio silence from management made this one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. If you value cleanliness, basic courtesy, or any level of customer service—do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. This location has a long way to go before it deserves to carry the Holiday Inn name.

They remodel the hotel is look brand new is cleanliness, the breakfast is really good.

Our stay was a step up from camping and fairly decent. The staff were helpful and prompt. They had plenty to choose from for breakfast which was nice for our group. The bed mattresses were too soft, and the TV had lines in the picture, but had a decent amount of channels to choose from; the paint (for renovation purposes) left a strong unpleasant smell; the one elevator was very slow. All in all, it was mediocre accommodations and not the worst I’ve experienced.

They were renovating. Our room didn’t get cleaned and there were dirty towels left from previously. Only one elevator.
